We are seeing some cold temperatures in the forecast and just as you would dress for the weather, your pup should also be dressed for the weather. So if you have a sweater or a jacket for your pup bring it along for their daycare or boarding stay so we can work together to ensure your dog has a cozy day 😉💜🐾

Hi everyone, I just wanted to give you all an update of what is going on behind the scenes here at Cozy Paws!

First, Haley has graciously accepted the position of Social Media Coordinator. This position will focus on showing what your pups get up to during their stays and at daycare. She will be focusing on candid shots of everyone in action and be taking over special projects like meet the puppers. She is already getting so many great shots and I can’t wait to see what her future photo projects are! Thank you Haley for taking on this position!

Second, all staff are participating in a course called Fear Free Boarding and Daycare Certification Program. What this course focuses on is the emotional and physical needs of each individual pet. It provides us with several steps to take, from setting up the environment itself to adjusting the way in which we interact with dogs that can help reduce stress and increase calm and safety for both pets and staff. This course also touches on dog body language in play groups and creating and manipulating those groups to ensure the safety and wellbeing of each dog in our care.
This course is very informative and will be a great asset for all staff members. Continuing education in this profession is vital to ensure we set up each dog and owner up for success.

Finally, Alex and Nikki will be taking part in the Canine First Aid program as well. The course will be taking place on February 3rd. It is open to the public so if anyone is interested, let me know and I can pass along your info.
