Zest and Hannah have been doing agility together for years now, but they started their journey when Zest was just a pup. Once Zest had basic obedience, Hannah started teaching her important foundation skills that made her the incredible competitor she is today!
These great foundations skills are all taught in our Sport Foundation 1 & 2 class.
These classes focus on teaching dogs engagement with their owners, body awareness, and safe introduction to some equipment. The classes are also a whole lot of fun and great for improving your relationship with your dog (even if you don't plan on ever competing!).

Do you ever get to a point in your training where both you and your pup are frustrated? 😩 It is in these moments that we invite you to remember- LESS IS MORE! 👀
This means breaking things down and celebrating small steps forward instead of expecting too much too fast, and pushing the expectations too high before pup is ready 🤓
When it comes to training, we want our dogs to be willful participants. It helps when we leave them wanting more VS in a place where they’ve had enough 🙄
If you’re tempted to keep pushing, take a step back, a deep breath and try again.. next time keeping it short and sweet. Remember, dog training ought to bring you and your pup closer, so let’s keep it fun! 🥳

Have you ever considered how your OWN emotions affect your dog and your training?
Ever notice that when you’re in a particular hurry or really NEED your dog to remember his training or be a”good dog”, your pup seems to act out or check out? OR, ever notice that your dog lacks enthusiasm and engagement? GUESS WHAT? There’s a reason for that!
Yes, our emotions highly affect the dogs around us. They can sense when we are frustrated, nervous and lack confidence. Alternatively they can also sense when we’re calm, cool and collected.
Being aware of how our emotions affect our pups can set us and our dogs up for success when training and even prove to be a valuable tool to kick our success up a few notches!
