Cockatiels need daily time out of their cage to stretch their wings and play! 🦜

The recommended amount is 2-3 hours of free time each day, but why not go for more if you can? Studies show that cockatiels that are out of their cages for about 8 hours a day are happier, healthier, and less likely to develop problems with plucking.

If it’s hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk, you probably don’t want to go for a walk anyway. Neither does your dog! 🥵 Avoid those sizzling sidewalks and keep their precious paws protected!

Before heading out for a walk, test the pavement with your hand. If it’s too hot for you, it's too hot for them! Early morning or evening walks are the way to go during summer
scorchers. 🌇 If you’re still unsure, check out our chart to see when it's best to skip the walk.

Trust us, please do NOT go for that walk if it’s too hot. Stay cool, stay indoors, and enjoy the air conditioning! 🫠

Living with a double-coated pet means endless cuddles and... well, endless fur! 🐕 Their double coat is great for insulation but makes them champions of shedding. 🙈 Make sure to brush them regularly to keep that undercoat in check and your home fur-free...ish. 😂
