Jesse Davicioni and Hershel Frimer have been good friends since kindergarden. Growing up in Vancouver, they would often take their dogs Luke and Ginger for long walks around town. After many years, life took our Drs. in different directions and they both went onto become accomplished veterinarians. Their friendship remained through years of handwritten letters, phone calls, and later, emails. Davi
cioni and Frimer had discussed the idea of having a practice together for years but it hardly seemed practical. Dr. Davicioni was in England with his wife and 3 children managing a busy practice, while Dr. Frimer was working as a veterinarian in Sechelt and Gibsons. Dr. Frimer went on to become a locum veterinarian and Dr. Davicioni had been talking with him about coming back to Canada. Dr. Davicioni decided to bring his family from England back home to start Gibsons Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Frimer. Together they purchased the Gibsons Animal Hospital building, all new equipment and renovated the building to enclose a bright, and new reception area designed to minimize animal stress. Davicioni and Frimer have been fortunate to have excellent staff join them to provide the best service we can.
