Hotspot season is here. If your dog has ever had a hotspot, you know it can be a process to get them cleared up!
We picked Sammy up a few days ago. He was already battling the dreaded hot spots!
A vet saw Sammy and is receiving treatment, but he must wear the watermelon cone so he cannot dig at his head. Given the chance, he is going to dig and roll.
It is important to keep the area clean and dry, and convincing Sammy I am not attacking him with a washcloth and topical solution each time we come in has been a work out🤣

If your dog develops a hotspot, and they appear quickly, call your vet to make an appointment. They spread extremely fast and turn wet and gooey in the blink of an eye, which might require more than home remedies.
