Golden Skull Works will be hosting a Canadian Fi****ms Safety Course (fi****ms license / PAL) in Golden. This is an inclusive course, we cater to all levels of experience and background.

How much?
$185 per student
Who?
You must be at least 12 years old, children may be accompanied at the discretion of parent / caregiver.

Salt Spring CORE Alert!

Are you interested in learning how to hunt? Have you been thinking about harvesting your own wild meat? Look no further! Golden Skull Works will be offering a Conservation Outdoor Recreation Education (CORE) course on Salt Spring Island. This is an inclusive course, we cater to all levels of experience and background.

Where?
At the Salt Spring Rod and Gun Club Clubhouse situated at 223 Long Harbor Rd.

When?
Saturday September 21st and Sunday September 22nd. Both days will start at 8 am till 4 pm with a working lunch.

Who may attend?
Any BC resident 10 years or older. Children can be accompanied by a parent or guardian that already holds a valid FWID number.

What is provided?
Your CORE manual (provided on Saurday morning) as well as all enrolment paperwork. Not included is a $30 BC Wildlife Federation hunter’s certificate processing fee payable directly to the BCWF after successful completion of the course.

What will I get when I successfully complete my exam?
The successful completion of a CORE course will lead to a certificate that will allow you to purchase hunting licenses in BC.

How do I enrol?

We were delighted to have been entrusted with this Caribou in velvet project. It was a long and tedious process but completely worth it!

In ideal conditions, the natural velvet can be preserved but in most cases, such as this, velvet has to be recreated.

This course will be delivered by women and caters to all levels of experience and background. Youth are also welcome!

The RPAL will be held on Monday April 1st (Statutory holiday) 8am to 3pm

$150 per student for RPAL

The Province has implemented mandatory chronic-wasting disease testing, as well as restrictions on the transport and disposal of any road-killed cervids (deer, moose, elk, caribou) in the area where the first cases of the disease were found in B.C. in two deer samples in January 2024.

The restrictions apply within the Initial Response Area, defined as Management Units 4-2, 4-3, 4-4, 4-5, and a portion of 4-22. This is south of and including Highway 3, which is situated between south of Cranbrook toward the United States border, west to the Moyie Range, and east to the Macdonald Range.
