📅 IMPORTANT DATES:
• Office closes: December 23
• No check-ins/outs: Dec 24, 25, 26, 31, and Jan 1
• All guests must check out by: Jan 5 at 12:00 PM

⏰ Until Dec 23, our office remains open:
Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Weekends: 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM

📱 During the holiday period (Dec 22 - Jan 5), we'll only respond to texts from pet parents whose furry friends are staying with us.

Hey everyone! Just a quick heads-up that we're expecting a big storm overnight, with over 20 cm of snow forecasted into tomorrow evening. ❄️ For the safety of our amazing staff and your beloved pups, Tucked Inn will be closed for daycare tomorrow.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Safety first! 🐾

But no worries! You can book your daycare visit for Thursday or Friday this week, or any day next week. Just reach out, and we'll get you sorted!

🚨 Daycare Update! 🚨

Heads up friends! ... DAYCARE will be closed from November 1st to 8th inclusive as a couple of us take a brief autumn break. But don’t worry – we’re still fully available for overnight stays during this time, so if you need to make arrangements for any of those dates, feel free to book an overnight stay!

Please note that communication (email, text, FB, etc.) will be limited during this period, so we appreciate your patience. We’ll be back to regular daycare playtime starting November 9th. Thanks for your understanding, and we can’t wait to see your pups soon! 🐾❤️

🚨 Meet Sadie, one of our original guest dogs and a super sweet Tucked Inn regular. She's been coming to stay with us since she was 6 months old. But let’s be clear—Sadie is a traitor. She doesn’t come here for the playtime or the treats…she’s here for Dan. Yep, completely obsessed. We have endless stories of Sadie’s Dan devotion, but her latest stunt takes things to a new level.

On her last stay, we had to take away her bed (she couldn’t resist snacking on it). Feeling bad, Dan lent her one of his T-shirts for comfort. And because she adored it, we sent it home with her. Later that night, Sadie’s family came home to find her standing on the table, laser focussed on that T-shirt, sealed in a Ziploc bag. She actually unzipped it herself, dragged it to bed, and snuggled up with it all night.

Now, her teenage human has joined in the fun, dressing her in the T-shirt each night. So every evening, Sadie patiently waits, paws crossed, for her “Dan Jams” before she’ll even think about going to sleep. And honestly, we’re all just done 😂

🗓️ Heads Up! We're Fully Booked 🐾

Both the Truth and Reconciliation long weekend and Thanksgiving are now fully booked. Holiday long weekends, especially Thanksgiving and Easter, tend to fill up 2-3 weeks in advance, so if you’re planning for future dates, reach out early to secure your pup’s stay. These spots go quickly, and we want to make sure everyone has a chance to book!

🌟 A Quick Reminder for New Clients 🌟

To ensure the best experience for all our guests, we do not accept new dogs during holiday long weekends, March Break, or over Christmas and New Year’s.

Bringing in a new dog during these busy times can be overwhelming for a few reasons:

🐾 It’s a big adjustment. A new environment, unfamiliar people, and different routines are a lot for a dog to process. Pair that with the hustle and bustle of long weekends when we’re at full capacity, and it can be too much for a new pup to handle comfortably.

🐾 We want to focus on them. New dogs need extra attention as they adjust and settle in, and during peak periods, our team’s focus is spread across a full house. It's not fair to the new dog—or our staff—if we can’t give them the time and attention they deserve.

🐾 Safety and well-being. A busy kennel means more dogs interacting, and while we’re well-equipped to manage these dynamics, it’s important that new dogs have time to slowly acclimate to the environment. High-traffic times can increase the chances of stress and overstimulation, which isn’t ideal for a first stay.

🐾 We want their first experience to be positive! A quieter, less hectic stay gives new dogs the chance to ease into their surroundings, build trust with our team, and have a smooth, enjoyable introduction to our care.

Trial nights before long weekends are perfectly okay! We'd love to welcome your pup during quieter times to ensure they’re comfortable and well-adjusted before diving into a busier stay.
