LGD (livestock guardian dogs) are apart of the herd! Their job is to protect the herd … not move the herd. Not a guard dog in the sense of personal protection. It’s so natural that they don’t need training to protect there family. Under the right circumstances any dog will bite, but this breed will do there job regardless if there herd is sheep , goats, cows, or people. Keep this in mind if you are thinking of adding one to your home in town or if you are the hostess with the mostess and you have a lot of people coming and going. Nature over nurture will always win! They need 2 things to be satisfied- a job and a leader. If you can not provide that please don’t get a “house polar bear” or “giant floppy eared ball of fur” cus
they are cute when 30lbs … but full grown they take on wild coyotes, wolves, mountain lions and any other animal or human THEY see as a threat. # do actual research on the breed your interested in.

Remember after Christmas break … you go back to work and kids go back to school .. if you do get a puppy or dog that they need training and or be included in to your daily schedule ❤️❤️❤️

❤️❤️❤️Just wanted to say this week was a big success again!! Thank you from every one here at Steele Croft Pet Services❤️❤️❤️ to everyone involved and donated to help out another one of our local community members. She was a victim of a break and enter that resulted in vandalism and robbery. Leaving this elderly woman alone with her 2 dogs in a desperate state. These donations are greatly appreciated and will be delivered this weekend. I know these are dire times for everyone financially, and warms my heart that we could be apart of such a wonderful cause. I encourage everyone to help each other in times of need , not just the pet but the people and families who own them. Together we will thrive and stay strong. I am so honoured to be apart of such an amazing community.
