⚠️ FROST IS MISSING! ⚠️
She is an indoor-only cat and is likely hiding quite close to her home, however it's been 48hrs and she hasn't returned. If you live near the 3400 block of Almond Gardens road west, please keep an eye out for her! If you spot her, PLEASE text or call 250-584-4905 immediately. Do not chase her!

This sweet senior gal is Frankie. She was was found starving and scared by a concerned citizen in Osoyoos. Posts were made, rescue groups were contacted, and she was taken to the vet. Sadly, no owner was even located 😿. The wonderful lady who saved this precious kitties life named her Frankie, and she would have LOVED to keep her, but unfortunately Frankie is not a fan of other cats 😕.

So now this lovely ol' gal is hanging out at the Shelter, hoping someone out there has a nice, quiet home they'd be willing to share with her! 🙏🏻 She has been given a clean bill of health by the vet. There is no adoption fee for Frankie, we just want to find her the purrfect home where she will never again have to worry about where her next meal is coming from.

Please contact us asap if you have space in your home and your heart for Miss Frankie ❤️.

Kitten season is such a cute name that it's easy to forget how tragic it actually is.

"I just wanted her to have one litter but she keeps getting pregnant again before I can get her fixed."

"Well, she's not really my cat."

"She was dumped here and has had litter after litter under my house."

"I can't spay her, she's pregnant! That's mean!"

Then we get the calls. The cat who has been eating on your porch every day now has a kitten stuck in her birth canal and needs emergency surgery. You can't afford it. Neither can we. The solution is spaying that cat before this happens.

The kittens were cute and fun but now they're sick. They need help. You can't bring them inside. The solution is spaying that cat before these kittens were brought into the world.

Their eyes are ruptured because no one was there to treat the URI. The solution was spaying their mama cat before she gave birth.

The mother cat got hit by a car and now the newborn babies are fading.
They're injured.
They are covered in fleas and ticks.
Fly strike.
Maggots.
They're starving.
The list goes on and on.

Relative to the problem, we in rescue are just a few people who will never be able to do enough to end this on our own.

PLEASE step up for the cats you are feeding. Step up for the one you see in your neighbors yard every day. Step up for the local gas station cat. Even if it's not yours, even if it's not your fault.
If you need assistance PLEASE reach out now! Don't wait until there is fifty cats and no one can afford to feed them anymore!

This stunning boy is Loki! 😻 He is a 4yr old sweetie pie looking for a new furever home. He came from a home with a brother kitty he got along with, and also a doggie friend. Although he is said to not get along with other cats (aside from his brother), now that he is neutered we think he MAY accept a feline buddy, based on his interactions with the other cats at the Shelter.

Loki is a confident & curious kitty who would do fine in a busy home with children. He has been neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175. Contact us now to meet this charmer!! 🐾❤️

💙 ADOPTED! 💙
This frisky lil feline is U*i 😸. He's a 1yr old little ball of energy! Thus far he has not been a huge fan of other kitties, however this may change now that he's been neutered. We're not sure how he is with dogs, but as a young cat he should be pretty adaptable. He can get a bit spicy when he doesn't get his own way, so a home with no children, or maybe older cat-savvy kids, would be best.

He was living as an outdoor kitty prior to coming to the Shelter, and he'll most likely want to have outdoor access at his new home.

If you're interested in meeting Mr. U*i, or any of our wonderful rescue kitties, please reach out now! 🙏🏻❤️🐾

Don't let the grumpy expression fool you! Miss Lapis is a very sweet kitty looking to find someone who will provide her with all the lovin' & attention she so deserves! 💗

Lapis came to the Shelter with approximately 20 other kitties from an orchard in Oliver. She quickly warmed up to the attention & affection offered to her by the volunteers. While she is still a smidge skittish, we feel that in a quiet living environment with a patient owner, Lapis will blossom into wonderful companion!

She gets along just fine with other kitties. We are not sure how she feels about dogs, but she's a pretty easy-going gal, so with the proper introduction she should do just fine. She is approximately 3yrs old, has recently been spayed, vaccinated, treated for parasites and microchipped. Her adopted fee is $175. Please contact us asap if you can offer a home to this pretty kitty! 😸❤️

This beautiful little lady is Clover 🍀. She is a very sweet 3yr old kitty, who thru no fault of her own, finds herself looking for a new furever home. With the proper introduction, Clover should be fine in a home with other cats, non-aggressive dogs, and even young children! 😺

Clover has recently been spayed, vaccinated, treated for parasites and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $175. If you would like to meet this lovely kitty, or any of our other wonderful rescues, please contact us asap! 💗

Meet Boots! 🐾 Thru no fault of his own, this sweet boy finds himself looking for a new furever home. He's a loving kitty of approximately ten years old. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Boots does have Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, which means he is prone to urinary issues when he is stressed 😿. It's best if he remains on a Urinary Tract Maintenance food to help prevent any issues. The purrfect environment for Mr. Boots would be a calm, stable home with no young children or aggressive pets.

There is no adoption fee for Mr. Boots thanks to a donation from a supporter. Please contact us if you feel you can provide this adorable boy with a safe & loving home! 🩵

⚠️ Anyone missing a large female black cat around 20th and 68th? ⚠️
We were called as it was thought to be injured. Turns out she’s fine! Just very scared missing her owners... No microchip.

She is now at the shelter resting. Please contact the cat rescue if you think this may be your kitty!

● BARN CATS FOR ADOPTION ●
A huge part of our mission here at the Shelter is not just to rescue and home tame cats, but to try to rehabilitate and socialize cats that have been abandoned, mistreated, or born in the wild. Our volunteers spend endless hours with these antisocial kitties, taking the steps to try to gain their trust and teach them to enjoy human companionship. While we have had amazing success turning some very wild cats into loving house pets, we do occasionally encounter one that just has no interest in the company of humans.

While we wish all our rescues could become cuddly house pets, we want these kitties to live their best life no matter what, so it's in their best interest to adopt them out as barn or shop cats. In exchange for the cats keeping the rodent population at bay, we ask that they be provided with fresh water and kitty kibble regularly, ensure they have a safe, comfortable place to rest, and provide them with medical care if they get sick or injured.

The adoption fee for our "barn cats" is a minimum of $40, as they have been fixed, vaccinated, treated for worms & earmites, and microchipped. We prefer barn cats to be adopted in pairs, to keep eachother company in the absence of a human buddy.
If you are interested in the services of a professional barn or shop cat, please contact us now 😸

🚫 OPEN HOUSE EVENT POSTPONED 🚫
Unfortunately with 111 cats and kittens in our care currently, we are just too busy trying to work on getting kitties healthy, socialized, and adopted out.

We have MULTIPLE folks waiting to surrender their cats, as well as others with strays on their properties, AND we still have cats needing to be trapped at the colonies we've been working on 😓.

Almost ALL of this could be prevented by just SPAYING & NEUTERING. We need to speak for those without a voice! Tell you neighbors/family/friends enough is enough! If you are not going to get your pet fixed DO NOT get one!

💕 If you have been thinking about adopting please reach out now! Young Adults, Senior Cats, Baby Kittens and Barn Cats, We have lots of wonderful rescues to choose from! 🐾
