🥶 ❄️ with winter weather just around the corner…. Keep this is mind as you close up the barns and turn in early!❄️🥶

Did you know that horses that cough 1-2x at the start of exercise were shown to have mild inflammatory airway disease? 🐴 💨

Ammonia and using leaf blowers to “sweep” aisles are just two factors that can impact respiratory health of horses in barns with low air flow/ air turnover 😷

Some of our amazing team had a blast participating in OCTRA Provincials this Labor Day long weekend! 🏆 Dr. Hailey made her endurance debut as a critical member of the treatment vet team and Dr. Bri completed her first 50 mile race since 2018 on her handsome boy, Stryder.🌟

It's National Farriers Week! Let's celebrate the hard work that our farriers put in daily to partner with equine veterinarians and ensure the health and well-being of our horses. Proper hoof care is essential for a sound and happy horse, so it goes without saying that a skilled farrier is both a necessity and a tremendous asset.

Don't forget to give a shoutout to your farriers this week and show them your appreciation for their dedication to their craft!

📣‼️ Big Announcement - Team REVS is growing ‼️📣

We are so excited to welcome Dr Hailey Fillion to the practice.

Let’s get to know her a little bit ⬇️

🗺️ she grew up in Kitchener, ON

🎓 she completed 3 years of Animal Biology at the University of Guelph before getting into OVC in 2020

🐶🐴 she has a 7 year old Leonburger named Remy and a 2 year old Oldenburg mare named Sailor who she aspires to event one day

🌲 ✈️ 📚 she enjoys outside activities, traveling and reading during her time off

🩺 her primary veterinary interests include equine reproduction and sports medicine

Hailey will be joining us during appointments starting July 2nd. Please join us in giving her the warmest welcome! 🤗
