We have these types of clips for the leashes as well!
Easier to open up with gloves and mittens on!

We live in the great white north and most of year mittens and gloves are necessary!

What’s everyone’s favourite type of leash and length?

I prefer a hands free leash for when we are walking.
As many people know a dog can pick up your energy through the leash.
So even when I’m having a bad day- we go walking and it’s just a walk and that energy doesn’t go through the leash.

I have 2 sets of hands free.
A short set (about 3’)for in town walking and a long set ( about 5’) for hiking.

Good day everyone!

Just wanted to do a little introduction post.

My name is Jaimie, I was born and raised in the Grande Prairie county. I am a cree Métis. My family is from the northern region.
Atim means Dog in Cree.

I’ve had dogs my whole life and I currently have 2. Anyone who knows us- knows them as “The Boys”

Everything I have made has been tested on my boys. Collars and leashes because I wanted to make sure the pattern and everything is going to hold.

Both of my boys have snapped a regular buckle collar just by pulling on it to hard. (They wanted to go say hi 🤦🏽‍♀️ but they stopped and didn’t as soon as I said something lol)

I know everyone who has a dog(s) loves them and wants what is good for them.
I prefer the slip collars I make as they are softer and don’t have a risk of pinching. (Yes the one has a regular slip collar on in the picture- that because I lost his other one haha he has a new one now)
