End of my pet sitting era…

I am so full of joy and sadness as I bring my first business to a close. My friends and family have created this into such a beautiful venture and I want to thank you all SO much for sticking by me! Because of my schooling and excitement for bigger things, it’s time to close this chapter and continue with my story. This has been such a special experience for me and I wouldn’t take ANYTHING back for the world.

Thank you, PPPC, for helping me smile, bringing some tears, and allowing me to blossom and connect with so many people. This business will be forever in my heart 🤍🐾

There are so many risks associated with dog parks 😢 Please know what these risks are before going into any off leash area with your pup(s)!

So many dangers are present and it’s better to be safer than sorry. Consider finding a less busy park to spend one on one time with your dog(s) if you’re looking for off leash time.

Did you know this? Well, if you have cats, you probably did. Kittens need up to about 20 hours of sleep daily, while adults need about 15 hours.

Cat naps happen so frequently for several reasons. Your kitty could be a night owl, and spend most of their day preparing to cause trouble while you sleep. They can be bored and sleep, or they can be in conservation of energy mode.

Regardless, make sure to monitor if your kitty is sleeping TOO much, because this can become concerning, depending on the circumstance. Happy Saturday y'all!

Meet… Remi, Sako, Tika, Bug, Bella, TJ, Tootie, and Mia (in order of photos) 🤍

This crew of kitties (and Mia) are the second-biggest pack of pets I’ve ever been responsible for! Not only that, they’re such a laid-back, friendly group 🥰 All the kitties minus Tootie require various medications for their health conditions, and adapting to their needs makes my job so much fun!

Sako and Tika are both the oldest of the bunch. They are super chill and love to spend most of their time in their cat house, beds, or on the nice heating pad!

Bella and Remi are another 2 that I find similarities between. Maybe it’s because of their looks. Remi gets so angry with me when I would give her her pink pill after her meals, she would always try and prance away and act like she didn’t need it haha🙈. Bella is the sweetest girl and loved to sit on my lap and watch shows. She also loved to play fetch with her squishy green ball… how freaking cool is that?!

Tootie and Bug both like to keep to themselves, too. Tootie LOVES to try and sneak into everyone’s meals, and waits by the door for the perfect chance of escape. Thankfully, this pet sitter is too quick for her sneaky attempts to work 🤣. Bug would always do her own thing too, which I can relate to. Just living her best life. You go girl 👸🏻

TJ is the only boy of the bunch - and he is a chatty boy! He is a bit scared of loud noises and is such a fast runner 🙈 lol. He is such a handsome, and friendly dude either way.

Finally, Mia!! She’s an old girl, but such a sweet companion. She spends most of her time napping but loves to be outside and explore, too. She would always be by my side when I came and visited her. It always made me feel so loved!

Overall, this bunch has brought my organization skills to over 9000! Lol! All jokes aside, I wouldn’t trade my time with these girls (and TJ) for the world. Thank you to them and their parents for always being so amazing and accommodating! 🤍🐾

Of all the reasons I see people rehoming their pets, “we didn’t realize it would be this much work” is the most common. Sometimes, there are valid reasons to rehome. But that one in particular makes my eye twitch. Dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, lizards, birds, snakes, turtles, fish… you name it. COMMITMENT! Not a toy to show off to your friends, not to hold and play with when it is convenient for your mental health.

So many people look at getting a new puppy (for example) as a cute and exciting experience - which, it totally is - but I wish that the aggravating, emotional, and EXPENSIVE pieces of raising a puppy were more talked about. Having accidents on the floor, chewing your belongings, eating something they shouldn’t, developing health issues, being misbehaved on walks. These are only a few of these moments that take away the idea that it’s all fun and games - and is usually the side that nobody else sees. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE having pets. But it’s the idea of how many animals are posted on the “free rehoming” page that really shatter my heart. Yep! It’s sooo much freaking work! And it should be! More importantly, it needs to be talked about more! 🐾

Meet… Aro 🤍

Aro is my (not-so) little bestie. Since he was 10 weeks old, I’ve been occasionally coming by for play dates and p*e breaks with this handsome dude.

Growing up, Aro would go through a cycle of energy. Psycho, sleep, p*e, and eat. He is so hilarious - right from the moment I met him he had so much personality! Aro is very smart with his commands, and his owners have been on top of his training right from the get-go. I’m impressed with how much he knows at such a young age! Another thing that always impresses me is his familiarity with his crate. Although he is grumpy in his crate at times, there are days where he would lay completely content in it.

So, thank you, Aro, for always making me feel special when I come over. I will never forget your personality and kindness toward others!! 🤍

Yep you heard that right… I’m leaving you😢

I know I’m going to miss you all so much, but I also know I have SO many incredible adventures en route.

Working with animals has ALWAYS been and ALWAYS will be my passion. No matter where I go, I sure hope life gives me furry friends to care for 🤍.

Now let’s get back to business! Unless we have already been in contact, I will not be accepting any new clients. I am simply too busy with other pieces of my life to add more onto my plate. I took this break for sanity, I don’t want to throw that away quite yet 😝.

Finally, for my existing clients, I will be gone this weekend as I’m celebrating a very important anniversary and birthday of the man I love! So I won’t be back full time until Monday 🥰!

Hello PPPC friends 🤍

As some of you already know, I have made the decision to take the entirety of May and beginning of June off pet sitting.

Due to a new job, moving plans, and simply needing a break from my vehicle (lol!), I decided that this time off is well deserved. I hope you can all understand the importance of focusing on yourself at times, and that weakening your workload does NOT make you a “lazy” person. Life happens, and refueling is a must. I aim to bring the utmost amount of care to your furry friends, and I think this break will allow me to continue doing just that.

HUGE thank you to all of you for your continued support. None of your kind gestures go unnoticed! Please stay safe and healthy within these difficult times. 🤍

Meet... Kung Lao - OUR NEW FAMILY MEMBER! 🤍

Kung Lao is a 5 month old, blind, American Bully mix rescue from Hugabull. For having no sight (with the exception of bright lights), this dude gets around SO well!! Because of his mesmerizing looks, Kung Lao’s mom and dad want to keep his eyes, so they have to put his doggles (dog goggles) on to protect them from getting injured.

As Hugabull put it, this baby shark is a bull in a China shop. When he smells something he loves, he does not hold back in pouncing to get it. He is becoming more and more famous for dive bombing into our other pets like a ninja. I can’t wait to see this handsome man grow up into such a big beautiful pup! He is going to make such a great companion and best friend 🥰

Thank you Kung Lao, for joining our family and accepting us so quickly as such. You are so loved!!🤍

Double AND Late post😂🥲 But in case you guys forgot just like me, National Pet Day was on April 11th!

On this day, it is important to take a moment for the furry friends that don’t receive the love that they deserve. Whether neglected, abused, or abandoned, there are SO many animals that deserve a loving, comfortable life that will never get it. If you’re looking to adopt, take a moment to not only reflect on the responsibility of having an animal but the CONSISTENT time commitment which they bring. Dogs are not just a birthday gift, they are a responsibility. I’ve heard way too many stories of people surrendering animals because of their claims to “not realize how much work it was going to be”. No animal deserves that false hope! With that, take into account the amount of rejected dogs that YOU can adopt! Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association is an incredible resource to give a perfect dog a loving home.

I will forever advocate for the safety and love of animals and wish I could bring happiness to every one of them. Although I can’t, they are forever in my heart. Give your babies an extra big hug tonight. Happy (very late) Pet Day🤍
