Did you know that we have Distemper Virus in our area?

What is Distemper Virus, you ask?

Canine Distemper Virus is a highly contagious virus that affects all canine species, including coyotes! Canine Distemper Virus is highly fatal and most commonly affects young puppies and unvaccinated dogs. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this virus, only supportive care.

The good news?
It is preventable with annual vaccination and proper disinfection. Is your dog coming due for vaccines? Right now, would be a great time to get them in before the holiday rush!

What are the symptoms of Canine Distemper Virus?

Fever
Lethargy
Loss of appetite
Vomiting and diarrhea
Eye and nose discharge
Seizures
Convulsions
Weakness
Head tilt

If your dog is showing any of these symptoms contact your veterinarian as soon as possible to get your dog in!

🫧 🐾 🏠 Hubba Bubba & Wrigley are looking for their furever home! 🫧 🐾 🏠

These two lads are the best of friends and would be best headed to a home together.

Their inquisitive nature would make them good barn cats, but they are also very cuddly and would do well indoors with family ❤️

📆 We estimate them at around 5 weeks old and are growing steadily!

At the time of adoption, we do ask for a donation, that goes towards Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association.

Once they are 6 months old, and ready to be neutered, the cost will be covered at Bear Creek Animal Clinic/Country Club Animal Clinic/West County Animal Clinic

Bull-ieve me, PBR was the place to be! 🤠🐂
2 of our vets and a handful of technicians and other staff were at PBR this past weekend!
Thankfully, no bulls needed any vet attention, but we were happy to be on standby if needed! 🩺🐂
