Updates to CDC’s August 1 dog importation rule: If you are bringing a dog into the US from a dog rabies-free or low-risk country, you now only need to fill out the simple CDC Dog Import Form. Other forms are no longer needed. The requirements for dogs arriving from high-risk countries have not changed, and these dogs are still required to have additional documents. The CDC updated their website yesterday and new changes are in place.

At this time, there is no requirement for veterinarians to do a health exam 30 days prior, there is no need to have it endorsed by the CFIA official, and there is no paperwork we need to complete on your behalf.

At this time, the pet owners need to fill out the form from the CDC website, must be microchipped and older than 6 months.

***You must travel with the most recent rabies certificate as this ensures your entry back into Canada***

We encourage you to keep a close eye on the CDC website for the most current policies.
