West Croft Stables Eventing Barn, we promote the fun of evening helping you enjoy the sport in a safe way.

West Croft Stables is a place for Northern Ontario, Canada, riders to experience Horse Trials in their own back yard. It can be used as an introduction to the sport or just as a training venue, it boasts a full cross country course miles of trails, dressage arena and stadium ring. It also offers riders in the Greater Sudbury Region a place to develop their riding skills

It is a great way to start getting yourself back into the swing and address those unwanted riding habits that have creeped back over the winter .
2 day clinic, limited stalls available for of site horses , first come first served .

A unique opportunity coming available January 2025 at West Croft Stables. This is an in-barn half lease, 3 rides a week which includes one lesson per week. This horse is a lovely 17.2 hh OTTB who has been off the track for 2 years. He has been growing up slowly because of his size . He is a big gentle giant, in your pocket type. He is suitable for a brave Adult Amateur or teenager wanting to participate in low level eventing and jumper shows . This horse is learning his job but tries really hard to please. He has lovely form both on the flat and over jumps.
West Croft Stables is a small barn with a supportive community of riders, we have a unique education program while having fun.

I was kindly donated a prize for the highest place OTTB at the show . To recognize the important role they play in our sport, by Vie’s family , despite the fact she chose a different route as a riding horse . Please ensure your horse gets entered for this prize if eligible. Thanks

We have generously been donated a prize for the best OTTB of the day . In honour of all the TB horses who come of the track and make fantastic riding horses and especially Vie who chose to go down a different route than eventing . Please if you are riding in our show and your horse is an OTTB make sure I know and can put them in to compete for this prize .

Northern Ontario winter is so long we have to come up with creative training and fitness sessions for both horse and rider. Roma learning to steer and pull.

Some photos of our final eventing weekend of 2023 at Wesley Clover Parks after a busy season. It has been fun to be part of the nerves, improvements , ups and downs . All are exited for next season.

Sarah Clever has been taking lessons with me at West Croft Stables for about a year or so. Last weekend she competed in her third Ontario Eventing Association event and got her first ribbon . The whole West Croft Stables team was proud to watch Sarah ride , we enjoyed seeing her progress over the last month of competitions and can’t wait to see where this takes her. This is her stadium round .

Here’s hoping we still have water in the pond June 18th . We have some exciting new jumps on the way .

Starting a new cross country horse . Just building confidence .

Today was dry enough to school x country and Boots loved it . Kate was pretty excited too.
