This was his first time in front of a authentic sjee.
Imported from Holland .. someone said there are something like 400 in the world... 6 were at this friesian event!

Some of Julius bloodlines on our farm ❤️ made his performance(s) extra special. Julius performed as the unicorn of the 3 hitch of 3 approved studs harnessed together as well as driving single.. in video

What a treat to watch these 3 approved stallions.. (there were a total 6 at this event from the states!! 🤩) Perform dressage moves!
1 is currently training on the Grand Prix circuit!!!!
Phone died after this 🫣 but memories are locked in for future breeding prospects for sure to 1 or 2 of these Studs!!!

The Keuring registration deadline is quickly approaching!!
Please register your horses for the Ontario keuring ASAP. The deadline is August 1st!
Avoid those late fees!
Registration can be completed by logging in to the FHANA website.

Participants should also note that our 2024 Keuring will be taking place in a new location this year - REACH Huron Equestrian Centre in Clinton, Ontario.

After the recent heat wave a bath was much needed to refresh and do some hair care with the young guy!!
Do you know how long it takes to braid that??!! 😅 he did very well despite the bouncing from the hair braider as the mosquitoes were getting quite hungry...
Everything is a teaching moment.... 🤣

Let's set the scene.. +++++ horse flies... quite warm.. 3 paddocks of mares surrounding area..
1 young stallion having a bath in the midst... always learning... always learning..
He did very well! Succumbing to the cold hosing, essentially, in the heat, turned out to be better then dramatically saying hi to everyone around him 🤣

Their paddock is kinda a pond so.... some stall time to dry up a couple days.. and some more hands on time of course!!

Learning things every day.. we are always learning more about trailering.. never did much of it.
This boy.... horrible first trailering experience. Long story short... Started when we picked him up and took forever to load.

Fast forward about 6 months of hands on work.. a couple times loaded on a different trailer. Different style. And with a higher ceiling...

When you know you know.. and when they know you... trust you..

He walked right on, with no extra pushing pressure to encourage..

Not an official CYB baby buuut. He's an adopted one😆 blessed to have bred.. foaled, and trained/raised Twister thus far.
got a little spa this evening....fitted new halter.....
this one LOVES attention, good thing cuz.. that hair tho..... going to need some maintenance if it keeps up this rate of growth....

After 3 days of longlining on the ground, first time hitched to pull anything. The girls did it! Thank you Keith Stephanie Freedom Valley for your help 😇

The footing under the fresh snow is a bit slippery so we practiced stopping😅😇 and walking. Ms Nikita was more in harness mode with her time off from undersaddle work. It's the little things.

Hana Hana.. see? She can ride with her head down on a loose rein! ❤️ this mare needs some hand holding hut once she's ok with you leading.. she plods along.. sigh.. long exhales.. lacking... riding with 1 hand and using 95% just feet😆 baby steps

A more weathered horse.. aged horse may have refused to leave the barn when getting harnessed up for the 2nd time in an afternoon.. Nikita says ok well.... let's go then... people ask if they like a job.... 🙃 this one does! (The school boy was very pleased he got a ride after-all, hence the 2x harnessing)❤️
