It has been a crazy week for us professionally and personally. So, first off, we apologize for the delayed update. We returned to regular operations on Friday, after the evacuation alert was lifted. We want to thank all our clients for understanding the situation and all those that offered us assistance. We really do have a great community! We also want to extend a big THANK YOU to all of the emergency responders and volunteers whose efficient work got the fire contained.

As some of you know Second Star to the right kennels was evacuated today due to a wildfire! We were fortunate enough to only have a few pups, who were loaded in my truck and taken to my mom’s-thanks mom- where we are safely housed for the night. We are waiting to hear back if/when we can return home. IF you have your pup booked in, in the next few days Big Rock has offered to take your pup at this time-Jennifer says she has some room! I have contacted everyone for tomorrow’s drop off and will contact everyone for Thursday drop off tomorrow when I know more! Thank you to everyone who has contacted and offered assistance, we are beyond thankfully for the amount of love and support received ❤️. After last years fires Katelyn and I have bought a trailer with crates in it ready to go with water and food! We thankfully did not have to use it this time as we didn’t have that many pups to move🥰. As most of you know I have this beautiful pure breed boxer Echo. She cost me a pretty penny of 3500, to date my most expensive pup. It is with a heavy heart I have to re-home her. Echo is the sweetest boxer, she gets along with larger dogs, children, and pretty much everyone EXCEPT CATS AND SMALL DOGS! She would do better as a single family dog. Again, echo is a cat killer, which is why I must re-home her, she also stalks my chihuahuas so no small dogs either! She is two years old and fixed! I am posting her here as I would like to give her away for free to one of my many followers🥰. Echo will also receive free kennelling here at second star for the entirety of her life-given we have the space at time of booking! I would love to keep her in town and coming to visit me as this is as many know the worse possible scenario for a dog owner. If you are interested and would like to come meet her please shoot me a txt or contact me on our page.

I know I don’t post a whole lot of pictures these days🙈. I won’t do this every day for you-I get really busy sometimes and just can’t. But I do get clients who ask for a picture now and again🥰. Just keep in mind, I leave my phone all over the place-and my brain- and my number one priority with 30 plus friends in my kennel is always them. You can always tell when Katelyn is not here🙈🤣.

I’m sorry our hours have been all over the place! I think I got my life figured now😅.
Monday- 9am-12pm or 3-6pm
Tuesday- 9am-12pm or 2:30-4:30pm
Wednesday- 9am-12pm or 3-6pm
Thursday- 9am-12pm or 2:30-4:30pm
Friday-9am-12pm or 3-6pm.
Saturday-9am-12pm or 3-6pm
Sunday-9am-12pm or 3-6pm

PLEASE NOTE-These are our “usual” hours for drop off and pick up. We still expect a time you will be arriving with our friends!
While I do my best to stick to these hours it can be hard when one of us is away and kids still need to get to school and dance🙈. When hours need to be altered I will notify you of these changes as soon as I am aware.

Lastly, we do allow drop off and pick ups on your own time within reason and given you are a regular client. This means if neither Katelyn or myself can be here but our times just can’t line up you can request to drop or pick up on your own! We do this as I realize my schedule is nuts and I just want to give people options as I just cannot be here all the time.

If I offer to pick up your dog be aware, I do this all the time. Why? My kids go to school in peace River so I am there every morning to drop them off and every day after school! Sometimes I even pick up pups after dance on those nights🙈. So my thinking, save you a drive, some gas, and me the stress of racing home to be there! Also my hours are limited and I just feel like if I can’t be there I should make an effort to help make it work for both of us🥰. I don’t offer this service all the time as naturally sometimes it just can’t work for me, but if I do offer it up, don’t feel bad about it. It helps you just as much as it helps me🥰. AND as you can see, my kids are well adjusted to sharing space 🤣. Can you spot Linken in that mess? 🤣.

Unfortunately due to a heating issue in our daycare building we have chosen to cancel daycare until we can get it fixed. I know it’s suppose to be warmer in the coming days, but I do have a few daycares who roll around in the snow and become quit wet! I do not want them sitting in the cool kennel with no place to dry or warm up. I will keep you all updated on when we will resume! Don’t cry my furry friends we will be back playing before you know it🥰.

Happy new year to all my wonderful pups and families that come visit all year! It’s tough to do this after just having 3 weeks off but we are going to cancel daycare this week as it just too cold! Let’s hope for some warmer weather next week🤞.
