Some help for collapsed heels and a pr*****ed frog.
This horse came up sore on his right front; upon removing the shoe it is obvious that the heels have collapsed and the frog has pr*****ed (this means the frog is protruding lower than the heels). Furthermore the horse showed sensitivity to the hoof testers over both sides of the heel. This happens frequently in hooves with thin, flat soles and thin walls. When a shoe is put on a hoof the solar surface is raised off the ground and if the walls are thin and or weak they can begin to flare and heels can collapse and become under run. In such a situation it is helpful to reengage the frog and ask it to aid in bearing some weight to allow the walls to grow “straight” and maintain their integrity as opposed to collapsing. It is important, however, to avoid overburdening a pr*****ed frog and so a pad with a slight recess for the frog was chosen along with dental impression material.

I highly recommend for any and all new moms!

Being a mom is most beautiful and rewarding job in the world. It's also, by far, the most difficult. The sleepless nights, the physical and emotional exhaustion, the anxiety and constant worry, the lack of time for yourself, the loss of friendships, the changes in relationships, the loss of your old identity and struggle to find your new one, the post partum body frustrations... the list goes on. But you're not alone. And your feelings, frustration, sadness and confusion are all very real, and very valid.

As a newer mom myself, as well as a Certified Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator, I'm passionate about helping moms find themselves, their purpose and their confidence.

I've designed an EAL program specifically for us mamas, using a unique experiential learning approach that promotes the development of life skills in partnership with horses. The exercises are designed to promote self-awareness and self-reflection which can ultimately improve functioning and well-being when applied to your everyday life.

No horse experience necessary. Just a desire to open your heart and let the horses heal and teach.

This program is an 8 week program, 1.5 hrs once a week, and is a building block curriculum where we work on a different objective every week. The exercises are hands-on with the horses. There is no riding involved. Maximum of 6 participants in this program. Start date : Friday November 8th, 11am - 12:30pm.

Guaranteed lots of laughs, lots of learning, maybe some tears (the good ones, we promise!) and some new found friendships with like-minded ladies at the same stage in life as you.
