The farm shop will be closing a little early on Thursday, July 25th. Modified hours will be 10:00am - 4:30pm

Why? We're heading to the premiere of the documentary, A Nation's Table at the University of Guelph! 🎬

A brand new documentary short film, A Nation's Table, explores the life's work of Anita Stewart, the "patron saint of Canadian food". Thanks to her boundless tenacity and enthusiasm, she contributed more than ever imaginable to uncovering untold stories that celebrate Canadian cuisine, ultimately leading to the nationally recognized "Food Day In Canada". Through her life of activism on food and the people who bring it to us, she turned crisis into opportunity, setting the table for Canada to build its culinary traditions into an evolving food system that's the envy of the world.

Tomorrow (Thursday, July 25), a premiere screening of A Nation's Table documentary celebrating the legacy of Anita Stewart will take place at the University of Guelph hosted by . It's a free event but registration is required. Visit the link in our bio.

First-time customers Leslie and Gerry Rowsom "accidentally" found us this week, and quickly followed up with a lovely email to show off their dinner and tell us they're hooked!

Fried blue oyster and lion's mane mushrooms with speckled pea, radish and hot honey mustard microgreen blend served over a garlic and nutritional yeast linguine. Wow! Thanks for sharing ☺️

We had a blast last week hosting a visit from the Young Farmers In Plaid student group here at the farm!

The summer program for high school students focuses on topics including urban agriculture, local food, farmers' markets, self-reliance as growers and entrepreneurship. Karl had some great conversations with these folks, who kept him on his toes with all the best questions!

Want to learn more about what they've been up to? Be sure to follow and visit them Tuesday July 25 at the West Village Community Garden in Guelph from 12-1pm for their final summative presentation day. Plus, free seeds and lemonade! ☀️
