Check out our staff taking a moment to stretch before a busy day! ๐ Working in veterinary care can definitely be hard on our bodies. Often times we are lifting animals that can be 100lbs or more! Stretching helps to losen those tight muscles and prep for the big day ahead ๐ช๐พ This also helps our team wake up (and have a laugh) before the day starts ๐

*Why You Should Wipe Before Leaving The House*
This cat came into the clinic earlier this summer. She had spent a few days outside and when she came home her owners noticed that she had a sore on her bum.
After cleaning her up we found an unpleasant surprise ... maggots! She had gotten fecal material trapped in her fur which the flies were attracted to. The hot, humid weather provided the perfect conditions for the fly eggs to hatch and begin burrowing into her skin. Fortunately, we were able to catch it early enough and prevent any permanent damage.
This is a surprisingly common occurrence and this weeks hot weather has created an ideal environment for it. So be sure to wipe your bum before going outside!
