Peacock Gudgeons (Tateurndina ocellicauda) were named after the peacock bird because of their vibrant colours and a black eye spot at the base of the tail. But that is where the resemblance ends. They are peaceful fish and they can be kept in pairs or small groups in community tanks with other peaceful fish.

Australian Freeze Dried Blackworms are finally back in stock!
Australian Freeze Dried Black Worms are a highly addictive high protein food that can be easily fed by pressing a cube on the glass of the aquarium. It was heartbreaking, when we learned in February this year that the black worm farm in Australia got flooded and the family owned business lost most of their stock and equipment. It took a lot of effort and time for them to recover from such a big hit. Today we received our first shipment from them since the downtime and our fish are very excited to be spoiled again with this tasty and nutritious treat!

As the days are getting shorter, it is more difficult to find time to go hiking on a nature trail. We tried to recreate that environment in this little terrarium to keep those memories alive.
Equipment and substrates used: Chihiros Terrarium Kit with a Magnetic Light, ADA Jungle Base, ADA Jungle Soil, WIO Pale Accent and WIO Heaven Sand.

Parotocinclus haroldoi is a small algae eating catfish. It has a body shape of an otocat and golden polka dots resembling a fancy pleco. As its adult size is between 4 to 5 cm, it is an ideal candidate for nano planted tanks and shrimp tanks. This species has been reported to be bred in captivity, so they could be a nice challenge for those of you that are looking for something unusual to breed this winter.
