Riley and I lost our best friend yesterday...
As I sit here pouring over all the photos and memories, it just doesn't seem at all real that she's gone...
RIP Annie, you were loved by so many, and you had the best life! Our lives will never be the same without you. 💔💔

I can't bring Riley to visit LTC homes anymore, no truck and trailer here now, so we bring the LTC home to us instead! Here's my legend working his magic again, with residents visiting my farm, from the long term care home where I volunteer... ❤ 🥕🦄

The Standardbred community suffered a devastating loss on Thursday, when an arsonist intentionally set fire to Barn F at Tioga Downs, resulting in the death of the 30 horses stabled within. One of the trainers stabled in the barn, Edgar Clarke from Nova Scotia, also received 2nd degree burns to his face and arms when he entered the burning building to try and save his horses. Covered Bridge wins The 64th Gold Cup & Saucer! ❤😍
I am a new fan of driver Jordan Stratton, very humble and all class! He took the horse to meet the fans all along the rail, for a pat and a chat, before heading to the winners circle... I think both Jordan and Covered Bridge were totally amazed at the show PEI puts on for this race! I know I am!! Just Magical ❤

I'm Alive!! Just got the internet back now. Day 8 still no power...
Animals, house and barn all ok!
Took 6 amazing neighbours, 2 tractors, 4 chainsaws, and 2 days, to clear my lane so I could get out again. Solid trees blocking it all the way down. Sadly my woods have been destroyed. So sad to see all the destruction on the island, devastating.
**Having a chainsaw party, everyone is invited! B.Y.O.C. 😉

Knock Knock Who's There?

Knock, knock, is anybody home?? Cherry Blossom would like you to know that, yes, we are home! We will be starting private lessons this Saturday!! The extreme heat this week has slowed down our re-opening. It would have been unfair to start our horses back in these seriously high temperatures, especially after having just had 10 weeks off. Unfortunately due to the need for social distancing, we will only be able to teach kids who are 100% off lead. We are busy working on ways to get our lead-line kids back involved too though. Perhaps coming with a parent(s) to groom a horse, take them for a walk, feed them some treats, maybe even give them a bubble bath! Sounds like the perfect job for Buck!

The birds are taking over!

This is happening right now!! WOW!! 🥚❤️ I pulled into the parking lot and did a driveby the nest! Momma came right off the nest, running and yelling at me, and Dad flew in too. I knew that the babies were hatched or hatching.... and so they were... 3 hatched and 1 to go! Had to feel sorry for Momma Killdeer covered in snow on the nest last night, and another freezing night ahead for her and now the new borns. The barn swallows lied. This isn't spring! ❄️
