I had so much fun yesterday at our Easter Extravaganza, I decided to keep the Easter fun going next Saturday! On Saturday March 30th we will have a mounted Easter Egg Hunt!! We will only have 6 spots available. Participants must be able to ride at least walk, trott independently. Ride will be run from 1:30 to 4:30pm, including tack up time. Large prizes will be found through out the ride, so a backpack is recommended. $100 per rider.

Time is sure flying by... only 2 weeks until Easter. So, let's celebrate!! One of the young men that rides at the barn has taken on the coordination of our annual Egg-sellent Easter Extravaganza!! Join Charles and his recruited group of helpers on March 23rd from 11am to 2:30pm for a colorful Easter morning.
Charles has organized:
- hay wagon rides
- pony rides
- Easter egg coloring
- games
- Easter egg hunt
- petting zoo visits
And an Easter snacks!
Activities are geared for youth up to 12 years old.
$20/participant. Registration is recommended (so that the Easter Bunny knows how much chocolate to hide).

We are happy to announce a fun day of learning and animal fun! On March 15th from 10am to 2pm we will be playing games, touring through the petting zoo and pony riding around.
Spots are limited. $60 per participant, including tax.

The water straight out of the hose tastes so much better than the water out of the bucket... and a cold shower on a hot day isn't too bad either while you wait to get sheared. Oh Patricia, the alpaca, is one of a kind.

UPDATE: due to the rally to save the Minden Hospital we will be rescheduling the clinic! Support our community health on Saturday and join us on another day!!

Agri-forestry clinic presented by Peter Schleifenbaum on May 6th. Presentation will take place at 2311 Eagle Lake Road from 11am to 1pm.
Admission cost is $8. Light refreshments will be provided.

Molly is learning big girl things so that she's going to be ready for her forever home. Today's lesson was "come". With her recall getting better, she is loving the opportunity to run off leash through the field and bush.

Today, early this morning, Phillip Primavera and I said goodbye to Roger. A loyal companion and my best friend for the last 17.5 years. Roger did it all... he spent days in the long term care home bringing joy to those that couldn't have dogs anymore, he eased the anxiety of therapy clients, he showed off his agility in fun-gility classes and, above all, he got into everything with me. Roger could be trusted with every animal no matter how big or small.
Run across the rainbow bridge Roger and play with Skye again. The whole The Wild Life family will miss you old friend.

Milly (aka Molly) is looking for a loving, energetic home. According to her vet records she is a foxhound cross. She loves people (love kids) and dogs. At only 9 months old she's perfectly house broke. She is crate trained but doesn't need one (at least not when people are home). She does jump, which we are working on. We exposed to lots of animals yesterday ranging from chickens to bunnies to horses and she (surprisingly) didn't exhibit a high prey drive. Molly needs lots of excercise! She will settle into a remarkable dog in the next few weeks with learning a good recall and to curb her jumping habit.

How can the day be bad when the sun is shining, your doing chores in a sweater and... you bottle feed these cuties!!
Suzy sheep had triplets - all are doing well but Suzy needs a little help keeping up with milk demand, so we are supplementing with bottles.

It's that time of year where we HOP into spring with our Easter Fun Day!
This year we will be hosting activities on a schedule to ensure nobody misses out on the Easter Fun.
Saturday April 8th.
Easter egg coloring from 11:30-12:15
Pony rides and petting zoo visit from 12:15-1pm
BBQ lunch available from 12:30-1:15pm
Easter egg hunt from 1:15-2pm
Crafts and yard games will be set up through the whole thing.
$20 per youth (adults can purchase BBQ lunch separately).
Kids will leave with plenty of loot, a fully belly and good memories!
No registration required.

Captain is looking for his forever home. 6 year old neutered male. He has been wonderful at the barn hanging out and greeting guests with a wagging tail. He is up to date on vaccines and is dewormed. He does have an abusive past but his previous owner brought him around well and he is the perfect gentleman. Unfortunately his owner passed away suddenly, which is why he is seeking a new loving home. He is exposed to horses, chickens and all sorts of other animals without any drive to chase. Captain seems easy going and easy to get along with other dogs.

March break is just around the corner and we still have some spots open for our March break camp. Farm activities will run on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 4:30. Sign up for 1 day or all 3. Each day will be different, but include riding, petting zoo and outdoor activities. Activities are geared for kids aged 5 to 9 years old.

We need kids help to find Santa!! On December 17th from 11am to 2pm.
Sign your kids up to follow clues to a lost Santa. An outdoor event that will leave your lil ones ready for Christmas.
Guided tour through the petting zoo, pony rides, hay wagon, cookie decorating and hot chocolate included.
As we follow clues to find Santa there will be fun activities, like pin the carrot on the snowman, etc.
Make sure to sign up as spots are limited.
$20/youth with prizes to take home. Designed for youth from 4 to 10 years old. Parents can stay or drop off and pick up at the end of the event.

The Wild Life is introducing a new program for beginner riders. For kids between Junior kindergarten to grade 4. Program will run every Wednesday from October 5th to November 30th from 3:45 to 5pm.
Program will introduce riders to catching horses, grooming, tacking, riding, and more.
Price for the program is $400 including tax.

I am so very lucky to have a great show team with camaraderie and mentoring. When I did a leadline session with Claire (to practice for her debut show) Abby took Louise under her wing and trotted beside her to work on posting diagonals.
