The water straight out of the hose tastes so much better than the water out of the bucket... and a cold shower on a hot day isn't too bad either while you wait to get sheared. Oh Patricia, the alpaca, is one of a kind.

My mini-Me making me proud driving her team. We know how to deal with a snow-day.
Getting ready for sleigh season! Peanut and Butter are conditioning...
Mounted impromptu lesson
I am so very lucky to have a great show team with camaraderie and mentoring. When I did a leadline session with Claire (to practice for her debut show) Abby took Louise under her wing and trotted beside her to work on posting diagonals.
Show team meet
Another fun day of show team...
Winter trail ride
A beautiful day for a fun outing. Great company and great horses.

Lola
Calf update:
A lengthy update for a miserable rainy muggy day... our calf (yes @phillipprimavera while she is cute and cuddly she is ours) has a name, Lola. With the excitement of having a calf, we posted pictures of her. When she was merely 24 hours old she took a turn for the worse. The vet gave her a diagnosis of a swollen brain, and uncertain if she got enough colostrum, giving her little chance of survival. Three days of stomach tubing before she got strong enough to take a bottle, and five days of late night feedings helped to get her strong. She is now 2 weeks old and exclusively on a bottle. With occassional visits from mama moomoo to clean her we are her sole life line. We are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel with each passing day.
Motorized wheel barrows are the bomb
So exciting when we get new tools! Now we can muck out faster with our motorized wheel barrow. (It is actually intended for the sawmill)
Brooks cool down method
On a hot day Louise took a break from fencing and helped Brook cool down.
Routine, training and consistency pay off when working with horses! Everyone knows their stable and goes in nicely for breakfast.

Ever wonder what we crazy farm girls do when we are left alone in the barn for too long? Well... here it is!
A great feeling when you have to work but your kid(s) want to help because they are interested in what you do. Louise is showing a lot of potential and just might turn into a young lady with good horsemanship!
