Puppy training tip #2
Environments
Letting your pup explore a new environment is so beneficial for them. Helps them learn to settle in different situations/settings as well as its good mental enrichment, taking in the new different things.
Last week, I took storm and Kash to @hellopetshfx, and they did so well. Settled pretty fast, played hard, and met a few new people!

To start off our first weekly training tips
Heel
When training your puppy, a heel first get them comfortable walking beside you. You can do this by rewarding for sitting in a "heel" position and slowly starting to walk with them or use a spatula with peanut as a lure got this from @nohassledogtraining (do this on leash)
once they are comfortable, pick up your pace a little and start adding in the word you'd like to use. They key is to make it fun and rewarding for them so lots of treats and praise!

My dogs are able to do this because they have a reliable recall. If your dog does not have a reliable recall, please do not allow them off leash. Instead, use a long line and practice that with them until they are consistent and that recall becomes very reliable
Being a dog walker is nothing but amazing! I love every minute of it and sometimes our walks end with lots of cuddles. Wouldn't change it for the world
