Timberlea Animal Hospital established the Liz Fund to support patient treatment in circumstances where finances may be limited.

Liz (pictured here) left us too soon at the tender age of 2 years old. She passed from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We have this fund in memory of sweet Liz to help other pets in need.

Donations to the Liz fund are always welcome.

Please Note:
There is currently ongoing construction next door to the clinic. As such, the noises associated might be more frightening to your pet. It is of extra importance that pet's arrive in carriers, or well fitted collars and leashes, to ensure that everyone remains safe and secure.

A reminder that inventory season is upon us!
We will be completing our biannual inventory on September 30th. There will be no change to our hours during this time.
We ask that you please ensure all special medication/food orders are placed with us by no later than Wednesday this week.
We will also be reaching out to our clients to ensure all prescription and food pick ups that are currently on hold, are picked up by EOD Saturday.
We appreciate your assistance and patience while we complete our inventory process.

We are experiencing issues with our software this morning. We are still able to receive phone calls and continue with already booked appointments, but we are unable to process requests for appointments or payments at this time. We are working diligently to solve the problem and appreciate your patience.

Tender Tails will be offering a FREE in-person Memory Rock Painting Workshop on Saturday, September 28th, 10:00 am - 11:30 am for anyone grieving their beloved companion animal. The event will take place in Halifax. The event is part of Grief Gatherings, a week-long grief festival to support and nurture grief literacy in communities across the province of Nova Scotia – and beyond.

Doing something creative can be a helpful way to process the grief associated with losing your companion animal. At this workshop, participants will be encouraged and guided through the process of painting a memory rock using acrylic paint markers. Kathleen Dunbar, the Veterinary Social Worker of the Tender Tails program, will facilitate the event.

No art skill is necessary! The loss of your companion animal may be recent or may have occurred a while ago. Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to join.

Early registration is recommended as enrolment is limited to ten participants. To register and get more details, please email Kathleen at [email protected].
