Mark your calendars! We are THRILLED to be back again with our annual Holiday Pet Photos with a very special guest: SANTA! 🎅🏻

Bring your furry friends to AprilVets Bayers Lake for a festive photo session and even a quick nail trim!
📸 What: Holiday Pet Photos with Santa
🗓️ When: Saturday, November 29th | 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
📍 Where: AprilVets Bayers Lake
💰 Cost: $15 cash donation

All proceeds from the photos and nail trims will go directly to support a wonderful local charity. You get an adorable holiday memory and help a great cause—it's a win-win!

A Safe & Positive Experience
As veterinary professionals, your pet's safety and positive experience are our top priority! We want to ensure that every animal has a stress-free and fun visit with Santa.

If your pet may need some extra time or space, or tends to be a bit anxious in new environments, please let us know ahead of time! We would be happy to help arrange accommodations to make their photo op a truly positive memory.

We’re kicking things off by supporting Healing Animal SCARS 🐱🩷 on December 3rd, broadcasting live from April Vets – Dartmouth Crossing from 6am–12pm!

Our Holiday Food Drive is happening all December long, and we’d love for you to be part of it! 🎄

From December 1st- 31st we’re collecting non perishable food and essential items in support of . It’s a wonderful chance to come together, share the season’s spirit, and help support people in our community.

Most-needed items include canned goods, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, rice, baby formula, meal replacement drinks, and new hygiene products.

Drop your donations in the lobby anytime this month. Let’s make this holiday season a little brighter for everyone! 💚

FOUND: Roaming Dog: Halifax/ Hydrostone area - Robie St./ Halifax County MALE: Doodle/ Terrier mix, adult, approx. 85 lbs., scruffy coat, not wearing a collar. Found roaming on Nov. 25/25. If you have any information contact AprilVets Dartmouth Crossing at 902-404-7070.

You may have noticed a small tree at the front desk with cards hanging from its branches — this is The Salvation Army’s Angel Giving Tree! 💚

Each card represents a child (age 11 or under) from across HRM. Many families can’t afford gifts during the holidays, and the Angel Giving Tree helps ensure every child experiences a bit of holiday joy. All cards are gender-neutral, making it easy for anyone to participate.

How It Works
1. Take one (or more!) cards from the tree.
2. Check the list of most-wanted gift ideas posted under the tree in the lobby.
3. Purchase the gifts — please leave them unwrapped.
4. Drop off your gifts at any of the designated locations during their operating hours.

We are so grateful to everyone who attended our Santa Photos event this past weekend. Your generosity helped us raise almost $400 in support of the Miley Memorial Fund and Healing Animal SCARS Cat Rescue.
