Dr. Kathryn Butler is a proud native of Timberlea, Nova Scotia. After earning her Bachelor of Science from Mount Allison University in 2013, she pursued her passion for animal care at the Atlantic Veterinary College at UPEI, graduating with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2017. With a focus on providing top-notch care for small animals, she has been practicing veterinary medicine in HRM ever since.

Meet Dr. Vanessa Ge**er, one of our dedicated veterinarians at AprilVets Dartmouth Crossing. Originally from Fredericton, NB, Dr. Ge**er earned her diploma in veterinary technology from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2017. Since then, she has practiced in various communities across Nova Scotia, including Mahone Bay, Upper Tantallon, Eastern Passage, Halifax, and East Hants. Dr. Ge**er has a special interest in caring for ferrets, hedgehogs, and other pocket pets, as well as feline and canine medicine and surgery. She is excited to bring her expertise and passion for animal care to the Dartmouth community.

Dr. Steele has over two decades of experience in veterinary medicine, specializing in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and general medicine. Dr. Butler has experience in small animal medicine and abdominal ultrasound. Dr. Ge**er has experience in surgery, dentistry, small animal and pocket pet medicine.
