When I started walking Watson.. he was a little bit of a flight risk. He also wanted me to do the same trail over and over! If I decided to do a different trail, he would then turn around and run back to the car. It’s sort of funny if you think about it 😂 He also loved to play keep away with me with this happened. It was almost his way of being like, “ how do you fall for this every time? Just stick to the same trail !”

I was worried that he would go back to those same habits once Elliot and Carrie took over. I had come such a long way with Watson that I didn’t want to back track because I was leaving for a few months.

Not to say that he won’t pull that trick on me some time down the road when I’m back just to keep me on my toes .. but I’m so happy to see him not only go with two different dog walkers, but also happy to do any trail they take. He’s turned into such a confident dude and he lives for these adventure’s ! Truly.. you should see him when I pick him up. I told Carrie I call him “ happy paws “.

One of the many positive experiences of this job is watching dogs grow and become more confident !

Octobers been a blast but also gone by in the blink of an eye.

In the October schedule, I mentioned Nov 1-8 would be days off.
This was missed by many and I do apologize if Jenna has a different method/approach to taking time off and alerting owners.
This is the first week I’ve taken off in months but I feel guilt that there are owners expecting walks this week- I’m sorry for any mix ups this has led to.

I am sending out the new schedule and remaining bills as I struggled to work while on my first couple days of vacation.

I miss the pups and being away is not always easy for me but a break is needed (I miss being busy and working all the time).

I have been loving the morning walks with Teddy and my Winnie girl.. but I have to admit, my heart hurts these days because I miss my job. I miss the dogs so much ! Watching them play with their pals.. being total goof balls and having the best time.. ugh. I miss it.

Knowing the dogs are in great hands with Carrie makes this sad feeling a little less sad. I’m excited for her to come back next week so that I can come out and see all of the doggos.

I’m excited for Teddy to meet them all 🩵 AND believe it or not… Winnie misses it so much. Doesn’t mean she will be all warm and fuzzy though when she sees her pals 😉 That girl will always act tough on the outside!

People have been asking how Winnie has been doing with Teddy. Many of you know she struggles on her best day with people in general.. especially kids. Like most doggos, she’s not a fan of kids/babies unpredictable behaviour.

It was definitely a concern for us having a baby. We did our best to prepare Winnie girl for this new chapter, and so far, she’s going above and beyond our expectations. She has to be around him at all times, runs to him when he cries, and gives him lots of kisses.

So far so good! We know the real challenge will be when he starts crawling around, but right now, we are so proud of our Winnie 🩵🩵🩵

Almost a month in, there were some hurdles but Duke and I are very grateful for everyone’s patience and kindness.

Two full time jobs has certainly kept me busy!

My other job is increasing hours because it only takes one person to ruin a good thing, which is reflected in some limited walk availability.

If you have NOT received your walk days, please please reach out to me.
I am tracking lots of moving parts and doing my absolute best right now.

What an awesome week with the hotdogs/woods crew!

Thank you for your kindness and patience with me this week, I think we all had a blast on the hikes.

Unfortunately, my grandmother passed this week so I will be away on Monday for her funeral- I have reached out to all owners this impacts for change in walk days.

I am home early Tuesday morning for a vet appointment- this means Tuesday morning pick ups WILL BE DELAYED.

I should be able to start pick ups around 10-10:30!

Winnie has been loving having me all to herself😆 I have been soaking in all of the Winnie moments that I can before our baby joins the world 🥰

WOW August flew by. I can’t believe it’s Elliot’s last official day with hot dogs 😣 I have never felt more relaxed to hand over my fur friends to this guy right here. He handled everything like he’s been doing this for years which made my life a lot easier (hehe).

Elliot.. the dogs love you and I am now chopped liver . All it took was a month for them to be like, Jenna who?! Thank you SO much for everything you’ve done. But I have a feeling it’s not the last time the doggos will be seeing you 😉

I know everyone will miss having you as so many have reached out saying how amazing you’ve been.

As most of you know, this is Carrie and Duke!
You will all be hearing from Carrie today and over the next few days introducing herself and letting you know of the September schedule.

Now remember.. things will not be as consistent as they are with Elliot! So please be patient with Carrie as she also works for the Navy.

We will do our best to make this transition is seamless as possible. But your doggos will be hiked, and they will see their furry pals ❤️

Well folks, that’s it, that’s all!

Today was my “last” hike with the doggos for a little while. Time to give my body a break after SOMEHOW doing this for 7.5 months pregnant. The dogs were so patient with me as I slowed down over the months❤️

Winnie is definitely looking forward to some much needed one on one time before the baby comes… because when he does.. she’s going to start looking like that ( second and third photo for reference).

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement for the next chapter we have coming. Can’t wait to introduce him to you all once he’s arrived hehe 🥰

The dogs will be in great hands with Elliot and Carrie! Don’t be surprised when you see me in the videos since there’s no way I’ll be able to stay away for that long !

Macy Moo-
Where do I begin? You were the reason me and Ryan wanted to get a dog. I started taking care of you almost 7 years ago and you became apart of our family. Sometimes I wondered if your owners even needed my help, or if they just knew how much I loved you and needed you in my life. To me, you were perfect.

Macy isn’t the biggest fan of dogs and neither is my Winnie… but oddly enough, they loved each others company. My two girls knew I needed them to get along ❤️

To Macy’s mum and dad. Thank you for giving me all of the opportunities to spend time with your girl. Me Ryan and Winnie loved her so much ! We are sad she doesn’t get to meet our son as I know he would have loved her.. but I’ll make sure to show him all of the pictures of our golden girl ❤️
