I think it’s time to introduce myself again to those who maybe new to my page.

Hello, my name is Samantha and I am a Certified Dog Trainer specializing in positive reinforcement and also a Professional Dog Walker. I been in the professional world for over 15 years now. Wow, I feel like that aged me a little. 🙈 I have four years of secondary education in Business and Animal Behaviour, Pet First Aid, Certification for Dog Training, Dog Walking & Working With Sheltered Animals.

Obviously my passion and my world is animals, but I am also a wife and mother of 2 beautiful sons. Growing up with so many different animals played a huge part in who I am today. Did you know when I was 5 years old my family had a hobby aviary with over 200 exotic parrots. We also looked after 3 spider monkeys. At the age of 6 I started horseback riding lessons and still to this day continue to ride every chance I get and take equestrian lessons.

When I was 8 years old I would train my family dog to do agility without any real experience, as I got older I enrolled in dog sports and really enjoyed the dog world. When I was also a young child I started walking neighbourhood dogs around the block for fun as I couldn’t get enough dog time.

After high school I took Business and Animal Behaviour classes and graduated. After then I started training under another company. I loved it but because I lived so far out of the city I decided to open up my own business here in Sambro NS. I was the first Professional Dog Walker & Certified Trainer in the loop at that time.

Dog walking actually found me, and I wouldn’t change a thing. It started over 11 years ago when one of my dog training clients noticed I always walked my own dog and she wasn’t able to put the time into walking as she hoped to, so asked me to take her dog with mine whenever was possible. I jumped on it and loved it, once word got out I became booked up and couldn’t believe I got to do my dream job. After 4 years of walking this clients dog every day she unexpectedly became Ill and I had the honour to adopt the dog. That dog is Daisy my Newfoundland. I couldn’t image this journey without her. She is the one who started my walking career and she holds a huge part in my Heart. We miss her owner terribly and often think about her, hoping she’s watching down on Daisy and how much we love her.

Anyways, that’s a bit about me.
