We can use some help. We went today to get several Great Pyrenees living in abject squalor from a rural property where they were being kept. The owners of these dogs were very poor and also very elderly and they could not provide care for them and they asked for help. I don't think we were adequately prepared for the conditions they were living in and we are grateful they are now safe.

These dogs are in really rough shape and need a lot of care. As is typical when you get hoarding condition dogs, they tend to have everything wrong with them. Under the matted fur, they are seriously underweight, they are infested with ticks and fleas and they are riddled with every parasite known to dog. They just need a lot of long term TLC and care for everything from skin and ear issues to damaged teeth from chewing on metal to get out.
