Foster kitten update:
It’s been an emotional rollercoaster taking care of these little guys. At less than a week old everyone came down with some sort of feline virus and got very sick. Despite veterinary intervention, sadly two of the kittens didn’t recover and both passed away peacefully, having known love, warmth and full bellies.
Onto some happier news, mom and the other two kittens are THRIVING! They are growing like weeds and are completely adorable.
Rescue work can be tough, and it can feel overwhelming, but I try to focus on the successes and these little soldiers are definitely that!! 🐱

Happy May! The dogs (and I) are loving the spring weather so far and I hope you are too.
This May we are running our charity raffle to raise money for the amazing ongoing efforts of our charity partner down in Mexico: Beach Dog Rescue.
We first became aware of their efforts through one of our clients, whose dog was rescued from the area via Heather, a superwoman who ‘retired’ down south. Heather saw the desperate situation down there, and promptly opened up a dog sanctuary.
One of the things I love about this rescue is how far the money we raise goes. It makes such a huge difference to the lives of so many dogs, and to date we have donated over $1000 for them.
This May I am putting a raffle together, with the chance for one of our clients to win 4 FREE DAYS OF DAYCARE worth nearly $200! Tickets are $5 each, and every cent goes directly to the rescue. I am aiming to sell 100 tickets by the end of the month so buy yours and tell your friends and family to buy their’s too, increasing your chances of winning the prize (and do a good deed of course!). And as a bonus, if you purchase 4 tickets, you get an extra entry for free!
Tickets can be purchased directly through me via cash or etransfer.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that back in October we rescued 5 stray kittens (from 2 litters) who were in need of some help.
After lots of love, 4 of them went off to their furever homes a few weeks ago and are living their best life!
The smallest kitten, Winston, stayed on with me to help him get bigger and stronger, and now he’s a little older, he too is ready for his permanent home!
Winston is approximately 10 weeks old, extremely affectionate and cuddly, adventurous and playful, and has interacted well with dogs.
He has been examined by Wolfville Animal Hospital, where he received his first set of vaccinations and was tested for Felv (which came back negative - yay!). He has also been given a flea protection and de-wormer.
