Sunshine, 2- point and pretty ponies 🦄💜
Jay & Ellie rocking some small fences tonight like the super stars they are🌟
It all starts with a solid base, and that comes from the flat. The in between jumps is the hard part….the timing, the shape of your horse, how your body influences them, the jump is the easy part. Jay show us this here with his change in pace and form over fences after 2 solid months of flat work.
He went from what everyone saw as fast and up-right To stretching into his top line, bending his body, pushing from his hind end and a more balanced horse overall in just a few short weeks. Resulting in a slower horse that is stretching and pushing rather then pulling and racing.
It will be back to the flat work for now, but I couldn’t help but brag about this teams progression after all their hard work!
Only 3 spots left too our Horse Halloween event next Sunday October 29th at 11-2pm

Paco says “suns out, tongues out” 😝
It’s been a long but VERY rewarding day with LOTS of learning from both show grounds to lessons at home!
It’s Days like today when I wake up at 5am and don’t sit down till now 11:30pm that I am so exhausted and sore…… but unlike most at the end of my days when Im exhausted I still can’t help but smile.
I sit and reflect on all the hard work it took to make it here and just how much more I have to put in!
I think of all the people who did this for me and how I still think of them 10-15 years later and their impact on my life. I think of all the bumps in the road and smooth sailing for my riders that I get to be apart of thanks to their trust in me.
I think if all the people who have helped me, cheered me on and still do. I think of Just how lucky I am to wake up and be able to do what I love. Surrounded by such amazing students, parents, teachers, friends and ponies.
So Thankyou to my amazing Soñoador Equestrian and Riverbend Sport Horse team it’s thanks to you At the end of days like today I can’t help but smile and be so ready to do it all over again tomorrow 🥳
Featuring a video of our super star Cricket and Avery really figuring each other out over a few fences this evening🐴❤️💪
How lucky are we?
It’s a blessing,To be able make such beautiful creatures that don’t have to let us be apart of their lives, so happy with such simple things.
Like, enjoying the sunshine on a beautiful day, outside with full belly’s 🌸🌼☀️🌈

Kristen and kanga gearing up for show season this past week🐴⭐️❤️
🐴A little TLC for the horses today🐴
This is a little clip from Auroras massage. You can see by the big yawns, licking, chewing and rolling of her eyes when the muscle releases tension. A huge Thankyou to Ashley at Bravdo Equine Therapies for always making our horses feel brand new and regularly coming out to keep them in tip top shape.
Aurora, Cy and Paco all just love her and what she does ❤️
Although we are closed to the public due to regulations, we have been lucky enough to sport this team at their very first series of gold competitions!
Congrats to Kristen and her very own pony Kanterra on bringing home a 1st, two 3rds and a 4th in the cross rail division at Caledon Equestrian park!
We are grateful to be able to support such a dedicated team that continues to do better each time they are out and always leave with a smile on their face!
Congrats 🥳
All the ponies enjoyed the beautiful weather today☀️
We may not be allowing our students to groom and tack their horses at the moment, however all the Soñador horses are still getting lots of loving from Jade.
Learning the work that goes into riding a horse is a huge part of are program. It helps the student bond with their horse, learn responsibility, work ethic and I hear many of my students say it is one of their favourite parts!
We hope to be able to include this in our program again in the future but Thankyou all for your understanding in the mean time as we work hard to keep everyone safe during Covid.
Did you know:
A horse licking its lips with its head low is a sign of relaxation?
In the wild when they are unsure of something in their surroundings they will stop grazing and move into a fight or flight state of mind. Their ears forward, head up, and on high alert.
Once the horse has decided that there is no longer a threat you will see the horse begin to lick their lips, hang their head low and allow their ears to go back. This is a natural reaction of the horse switching its brain from fight or flight to relaxation and safety.
How cool is it that something so subtle can tell us so much about what our horses are thinking?!
