Stephanie Crawford - Biomechanics - Feb 2nd
Dr Stephanie Crawford is a Chiropractor and Certified Animal Chiropractor specializing in treating horses and riders, and a biomechanics coach.
Her equestrian background includes over twenty years' experience riding, competing and coaching in the English disciplines. Stephanie is dedicated to bringing a wider knowledge of human anatomy and biomechanics to riders through her clinical practice, and rider education.
In September of 2022 she spent three immersive weeks in the UK with biomechanics expert Mary Wanless riding and participating in the basic and advanced Ride With Your Mind teacher training courses.
This will be Fire Fly's 3rd time hosting Stephanie and we are excited to learn from her again. You will not walk away from this clinic without having learned something, whether you ride or audit it will be worth your while.

Fire Fly Stables has riding lessons during the day and evening for adults and children. New riders as well as experienced riders are welcome here. We have a large herd of lesson horses and include a basic horsemanship in our classes. Our teaching is based on the foundations of dressage and our stable has competitive show teams in dressage, hunter/jumper and eventing.

Throughout the winter months we host clinics to help riders fill in their knowledge and sharpen their skills. If you are the type of person who wants to learn the why’s and hows to treat your horse with kindness and respect while still being competitive in sport. You are our people. PM for more information. All bookings are done through email.

Our facility boasts a huge outdoor arena, a standard dressage arena (new!), an indoor arena with sprinkler system to keep the dust down, and fields to hack in (forest trails in the making as well). Our group sizes are small and our barn is very positive, supportive and fun.

Located 20 minutes from Hamilton and Cambridge. 15 to Dundas, Waterdown, and Ancaster. We joke that we are 20 minutes to anywhere.

Let’s talk about mental health in the equestrian world. 🧠🌱🐴

Riding may be our passion, but that doesn’t mean it’s always easy. Stress, nerves, and self-doubt can creep in fairly easily, and that’s okay.

It’s okay to feel it, and it’s okay to ask for help. Just like we care for our horses, we need to care for our minds too. Let’s break the stigma, support each other, and make mental health a priority in our community.

We had a brilliant day at the horse show here on Sunday! I'd love to put together a new photo album for the website and have a few new promotional pictures so please send me your favourite candid moments from the day. I am proud of my horses and my riders for an excellent and very professional and FUN day. You guys were positive and supportive and the whole day was just incredible.

Working on updating the s@les/lease list for horses. A few well started prospects in pony sizes (walk trot, walk trot canter under saddle), a few just backed big and small, a giant foal, and a giant Percheron. Pm for full list.

Those who don't know we take our time we do things right no cowboy backing around here. Step by step build their confidence make sure they can do all the skills at the base level. Most have been off property already to in-hand shows.

Galadreil (Glady) Weanling 2024 c**t. Percheron/Andalusian he is able to be registered as a Spanish Norman, or a half andalusian. Leads well, ties, picks up feet. Very personable and gets along with other horses. He has been raised in a busy lesson barn so he has been exposed to a lot for his age. Will mature over 17 hands. High 4 - Low 5 carrots.

We did 5 weeks of camp and I only started this collection on the last week. These are what our campers said. Enjoy!
