DAKOTA here to remind everyone of our WEATHER POLICY since we are into a new season:

1.8 INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: Where there is a concern for safety (ie extreme heat/cold/lightning/ice/wind, etc) the Service Provider is entrusted to use best judgment in caring for pets. The dog(s) will be let out quickly to do their business with the remainder of the time being spent indoors or visit shortened. Visit will be charged for at the regular rate.

If you have any enrichment activities you would like us to do with your pups on these less than favourable weather days please let us know. If you work from home but have an area of the house we can use please let us know. Do not hesitate to message me in the app or leave a note for your dog walker that given day! Exception is if we are on a group activity and there are other dogs waiting in the car. Unfortunately, we cannot leave clients dogs unattended.

The MEGA TRAIL WALK is back!! We have a special event planned for all those pups who are seeking a greater adventure! January 17th (Friday) we will be hosting a MEGA TRAIL WALK in place of our usual trail walk Friday. For those of you who are on regular Friday packwalks with us no action is required. The cost is the exact same as for a regular trail walk but this one will be further, longer and in a new area we have not explored! We wish for as many pups to join that want to but spaces are limited by car loads so please do not delay in signing your dog up. Simply book a Friday Trail walk on January 17th and your pup will automatically be picked up, shuttled to the trail head for an hour and a half trail walk before heading home! The walk will occur as close to midday as we can while also seeing to our other dogs that day so sometime between 10:30 and 12:30. Email will follow ❤️

Welcome ANI! Ani is a 3 year old husky/malamute/shepherd who is joining us from her previous doggy daycare in Peterborough. Ani's first visit included meeting up with Jessica's pack for today's nature walk and she did amazing - esp when an off leash dog ran at us 😡. Thank you Ani for staying cool under pressure and to Jessica's group for putting her at ease on her first day! You already have 6 doggy friends in Hamilton with more to come!!!

Today was a mental health day..
After almost 7 years I needed today to re-group. I will be back at it tomorrow. I love this job for so many reasons, but sometimes running it on my own is a bit of a challenge: am I doing enough? Are my staff happy? Do they have enough hours or too many? Do my clients feel they are each getting that personal touch? Are our timeframes hitting the mark? Am I marketing myself well? Should I add new services or scale back? Am I managing my time well? Am I devoting enough time to my own family and friends?
Well... Today I decided to scale back. I have been facing some physical and mental challenges the past few months (ie. Since business picked back up in September). We have gone from slow in the summer to extremely busy and I'm tired. Usually I can roll with whatever comes at me: car breakdowns, cancellations, last minute changes, illness and bad weather. Today I couldn't. I'm taking the next few weeks to scale back on services to see if that helps. After much deliberation, I have made the decision to cancel group play for now. I am hoping to go back to basics a little bit and focus on our core services. I thank you all for your continued support of me and my business. The business isn't going anywhere I can guarantee that!
