Cancer Therapy Support
Rat Poison Toxicity
Anemia, Parvovirus infections, and Von Willebrand's disease
Surgery and times of trauma
Immune mediated diseases

🩸 We are looking for volunteer donors! Who is eligible to donate?
1) Between 1-8 years of age
2) Weigh over 55 lbs (25kg)
3) Up to date on vaccinations
4) Even temperament 🙂
5) In good health as deemed by your primary care veterinarian

🩸 The CABB is a not-for-profit organization that saves the lives of dogs across Canada by leading education in transfusion medicine and making the highest quality blood available to veterinarians and dog owners. The Canadian Animal Blood Bank is now operating in 5 provinces across Canada (Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, British Columbia, and Alberta).

Animals speak all of the time, as spoken through their body language, but many times their messages are misunderstood or go unheard. As a result, a dog may be placed in a situation or interaction where they’re uncomfortable, but if polite requests for help or requests for space go unheard, their body language and behavior may escalate to a louder shout (think: lunge or growl) to get others to listen.

Attending to the early signs of fear, anxiety and stress as well as understanding the signs of a content and happy pet is essential for deepened relationships, safer living with dogs and for helping dogs live out happier, healthier fuller lives. Did you know that Watzin Veterinary Clinic participates in the Royal Canin® Recycling Program?

Royal Canin, a global leader in pet health nutrition, has partnered with international recycling company TerraCycle to make the packaging for their entire product line nationally recyclable. For every shipment of Royal Canin packaging waste sent to TerraCycle, collectors earn points that can be used for charity gifts or converted to cash and donated to the non-profit, school or charitable organizations.

Once collected, the pet food packaging is shredded and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products. It’s a win-win situation!

♻️How does it work?
It’s simple! All you have to do is bring back your old bags for us to recycle any time during our regular business hours.

♻️What items are part of this recycling initiative?
All Royal Canin flexible plastic pet food packaging.
