We wanted to make sure your pets are prepared for winter when it comes to prevention! While we recommend doing flea and tick prevention year round due to our warmer winter days, our protocol for Heartworm prevention has changed. Based on recent studies, we are recommending heartworm prevention from June to November only. Unless your pet goes down south to warmer climates during the winter months or they are an avid hunter, they only need Heartworm prevention from June to November. Prevention is essential when it comes to protecting your pets and family! Ask us about the right prevention for your pet.

✨Staff Spotlight✨: Meet Crystal! Crystal has been with us since 2012. She has a tender spot for animals in their golden years, and often jokes about starting her own senior nursing home for cats and dogs. Outside of work, she loves sewing, crocheting, reading, anything artistic or crafty, travelling with her husband, and sipping margaritas on the beach. Crystal is passionate about animal welfare and loves giving back to great organizations like Ladybird Animal Sanctuary and SAGA Humane Society.

✨Staff Spotlight✨: Dr. Julia Kim is back and better than ever! Dr. Julia has returned after having her second son and is looking forward to seeing all our patients and their parents again. Dr. Julia graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2017. When she’s not working, she loves spending as much time as possible with her family. Her dog, Susie, also keeps her busy. We have featured a picture of her late pup, Roy, who holds a special spot in her heart. Remember to welcome Dr. Julia back to the clinic next time you are in!

✨Staff Spotlight✨: Dr. Adriana Morganti has been a veterinarian at Glanbrook since April 2022. She has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2006. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family in whatever way she can. She enjoys travelling, skiing, construction around the house, reading, baking and hiking. This past summer, she tried dragon boating and according to her, it was a “boatload” of fun! She is always ready for whatever the next adventure brings.

Celebrating Seniors! It is Senior Pet Month. We are so grateful for our seniors, past and present. It is important to keep up with your senior pet’s health by doing exams, regular diagnostic testing like bloodwork, and keeping them up to date with their prevention.
