Adopt Moe @burlingtonhumane
Hi everyone and thank for watching! I want to introduce everyone to Moe once again, Moe is a 8-10 month old pup that I have been working with. Moe belongs to @burlingtonhumane society and, like many dogs, he was surrendered by his owners and has spent a long time in a shelter.
Moe unfortunately suffers from some, “ stranger danger” and gets anxious in certain situations.
This condition makes dogs like Moe difficult to adopt out, often because the adopter will have to spend some time with Moe in order to creat trust and feel a bond.
However Moe has come to me to get some help and has already shown us he picks up on training quickly.
We are working with Moe on muzzle training so when people he’s not familiar with come around, Moe can greet them on his own time in a safe way and also to make the person meeting him feel calm and relaxed and very quickly you will see Moe warms up especially when he doesn’t feel restricted by a leash or barrier. While Moe is here we will be working on obedience, tricks, and behaviour modification.
We are hoping to build his confidence and training so he can be more successful in finding a home.
Moe is a very sweet and loving dog and once he builds a bond with you he really shows it. Moe does do well with other dogs as well as cats.
If you are interested in adopting Moe or donating to help Moe and other dogs like Moe please contact Burlington human society like and share Moe’s story to help us find him the home he deserves. He will make an amazing pet!

Little dogs can do tricks and are just as capable of same training as big dogs. Only looks more impressive to see such a small dog pulling of tricks. Peanut rocks it! #chihuahua #dog #domorewithyourdog
Hi my name is Trish.
The dog in this Video is Bruno, he unfortunately passed away at only 3 years of age.
Bruno suffocated in a bag of dog food. This particular bag had a Valero seal that became stuck to Bruno’s collar and he could not get his head out of the bag, causing him to suffocate and die.
This event occurred so quickly, while I was being dropped off to work at a vet clinic.
I never expected to see my dog coming through my work doors lifeless and unresponsive, I frantically tried to give CPR to Bruno but nothing was working.
I could only hold my lifeless dog in my arms and cry.
A every pet owner can relate, Bruno was everything to me and after this happened I did some research and found Pets suffocate in chip and snack bags literally every day.
It only takes as few as 3–5 minutes for a dog or cat rummaging through a bag for crumbs to asphyxiate.
It can happen to any pet, regardless of their size, age, or strength; and it can, and has, happened even when the pet owners are in the same home, maybe even in the next room over.
This danger is not the result of neglect or carelessness — even experienced, loving pet owners have lost beloved pets.
The problem is that so few pet owners are have been educated and are not aware that there is any risk at all — it's easy to find videos of pets trying to remove bags from their heads that many people think are just cute or funny. (To be clear, this is never funny. Not only is it extremely dangerous — after all, these are animals in the early stages of asphyxiation — but it is highly distressing to the animals in these videos.)
