B&D is a small family run kennel catering to Saint John, Quispamsis, Hampton, Sussex and surrounding areas. Debbie has a lifetime of experience with all types of animals, from cats and dogs to alpacas and horses. However Debbie’s true passion has always been her canine friends. She has owned both small and large dogs of many different breeds, and upon arrival you may even be greeted by one or more

of her own pets. Debbie is very active in the dog community, with yearly participation in dog shows with her beautiful Chinese Cresteds and even gained personal breeding experience sharing this beautiful breed. Debbie’s concern for animals goes much further than her own personal interests, she has also volunteered for the Saint John Animal Hospital, Saint John Rescue League, and does fund raising for the Lion’s Club Dog Walk. Along with volunteering she has obtained a diploma in Animal Science, and her certification for animal CPR. Debbie gained her hands on grooming experience from prepping her own show dogs and attaining employment in kennels and grooming shops throughout her life. Debbie’s ability to quickly make friends with your dog comes simply from knowing what dogs like and what they don’t, after years of dog handling and obedience training with many different breeds she simply speaks their language, knows what they want, and how to make them comfortable. With all of her past experiences, her accreditation's and her truly caring and compassionate nature, you can rest assured that your furry family member will receive the best possible care while vacationing at the B&D Pet Resort. The resort offers both overnight and daytime care services.The resorts vacationers benefit from the in-home climate controlled facilities to ensure maximum comfort in all seasons, and they will love the pooch lounge whether it be to soak up the sun, or simply to relax and catch up on the latest doggy videos with some of the B&D’s permanent residents. B & D Pet Resort (Boarding & Grooming)

*I am a small business and due to the amount of grooms I can do in a day, every no show, late arrival or last minute cancelation costs my business a big loss. My overhead and bills cannot be paid when clients don't show up. Please be as respectful of my time as I am of yours.

*If you need to cancel your appointment, I need atleast a minimum of 24 hours. This is so i can have time to contact clients from my cancellation list to fill that spot.

*I will not beable to continue grooming dogs if people continue to not show for their appointments.

$25/day for 1 dog + $15 for each additional dog from same house.
Please note if dogs have to eat separately the rate would be $50/day.

Good morning,

First i would like to thank all my wonderful customers for your patronage over the year.
Just a few important things i feel necessary to mention going forward for boarding and grooming clients.
I know it is long but please read!!

1. ** I have dropoff/pickup boarding hours set in place for a reason. I need time to beable to get things done outside of the kennel. On stat holidays that fall on Fri or Sat i will be closed for dropoff and pickup, with the exception of Christmas and New Years day.

2. Please relieve your dogs before they come or make sure you have a p**p bag to clean up after your pet.

3. Every spring flowers come up out front around the tree. That is NOT a spot to allow your dog to go in and go p**p nor is walking my property to allow your dog to potty. Please have respect this is still my home.

4. If at all possible please TEXT or call and leave a message. It is very difficult to keep on top of and checking incoming messages when they are coming in 4-5 different ways. I will check messages at the end of the day and try my best to get back on the following day.

5. When booking for boarding or grooming if possible please advise within a couple of days of your dropoff date if your plans change so i can fill your spot. I know emergencies happen and sometimes not possible.

PICKUP/DROPOFF hours for overnight boarding are as follows:

Mon - Fri 9-11 & 4-5:30
Sat - 9-11 (only)
Sunday - 10:30-11 (pickup only)
4-5:30
Christmas holiday hours:

Dec 24 - 9-11 (only)

To ensure that there is enough parking space for all staff and customer/clients of 1032 Main Street please respect the fact that this is a private parking lot for just that reason. Sometimes the parking lot tends to fill up with vehicles going elsewhere, but I appreciate leaving it available for this building. Thank you for the understanding.

Just to let everyone know kennel cough is going around. I do not have anyone coughing but just received a call from an owner that her dog came down with it. Please if you have been anywhere that you know your dog has come in contact with a dog coughing do not bring it to a kennel or grooming shop.
There are no symptoms for a period of days therefore there is no way of knowing when they come unless they are showing symptoms.

With all the restrictions being lifted B & D Pet Resort will continue to follow the same protocol as we did by meeting you out side to receive or drop off your dog. The reason being is i have no idea where anyone has travelled to and especially where my front entry area is so small to have people in at this time.
I have posted a couple of pictures pn my website for those that would like to see what the kennel area looks like. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

***Price Increase***

Just a little reminder to our loyal and new clients of B & D Pet Resort, Boarding & Grooming.

As everyone knows prices have been increasing everywhere. Unfortunately, we are having to increase our prices here at B & D Pet Resort as well. This is the first increase since i opened in 2016.

We will be raising our overnight boarding and Daycare rates by $5.00 starting January 1st 2022 as stated in December 2021.
