💙🐶🦷February is Pet Dental Month! 🦷🐶💙

For this month we love to advocate for your furry friends and their oral/dental hygiene! As helpful as brushing their teeth regularly is, dental procedures are just as important to help maintain a happy and healthy mouth!

We do these procedures to scale away built up tartar and calculus that contribute to the damage of teeth and gums and can also cause infections.

This adorable lil girl came in today to be spayed and stole all of our hearts 😍 between the purr’s and the cuddles and well just look at that face!

She is available for adoption at Harvest Sky Animal Rescue! If you’re interested in this cutie please reach out to them, we hope this bean finds her forever home soon!

We are so lucky to have the 2 amazing vets we do, us at the clinic would not be able to do what we love and learn all the things they have to teach without them!
World Veterinary Day is a day to celebrate the amazing work veterinarians do! They put their heart and soul into each and every patient, big or small, and want absolutely nothing but for them to live a long and healthy life!
I’d like to shout out Dr. Colleen Christianson and Dr. Kathryn Welsman for dedicating their lives to giving everyone’s fur babies their best possible chance!
And Happy World Veterinary Day to every vet that gives a voice to those that can’t speak for themselves, we appreciate you!🤍

Seen a few posts about this wondering boy, hoping to reach the owner!
He has been taken to the SPCA as of this morning. No microchip/tattoo. Looks like he broke off his tie out, wearing a spike collar with beaded charm on it and a black harness. Super sweet little man!

We are asking that if you are needing to order or pick up anything if you give us a call prior. This just ensures that we have what you need or can get what you need and have it ready for you when you get here!
Dr. Christianson, our large animal veterinarian, is also available most times (if she’s not busy with her own calves) to assist in making sure your calving goes as smooth as possible!

Here is a example of excellent canine oral health. This patient's owner noticed some tartar build up on her dog's teeth. She was brought in for a professional dental cleaning and because the dental disease was caught early, there were no extractions needed! 🙌

Calving season is upon us!

Here are a few tips that may come in handy⬇️⬇️⬇️

Items to have ready:

☑Colostrum
☑Iodine
☑Calving chains and handles
☑OB gloves
☑Pail
☑Disinfectant
☑Antibiotics
☑Lighting

If problems should arise, when to call a veterinarian for assistance ⬇️⬇️⬇️

- No progress has been made in a 30 minute period.
- The calf is too large/cows hips are too narrow.
- The calf is not in the proper position.
- The cervix is not dilated enough.
-Uterine torsion (twisted uterus) - in this case, do not attempt to pull the calf!
