16’3 7 year old refined Clyde x TB

Luna is a lovely mare. Very sweet. Greets you at the gate. Going quiet around walk/trot. Has cantered undersaddle but very green. Rides in a side pull & has a motor. Can be strong on the lunge line. Has hacked trails and has attended off property groundwork clinics with great success. Always a favourite.

Luna ties, crossties, picks up all feet, loads, and bathes great. She needs an experienced home with an agenda. She is not a sit in the field and grab type-of-horse. She is a sport horse with good work ethic. If we had more stalls and time, she would not be going anywhere. She is UTD on everything.

Coming 10, 18hh Kwpn Gelding

Lovely to be around and great mannerism. He lunges, loads, bathes, ties, and is excellent with farrier and vet. Wtcs, knows his laterals and has a change. Started over fences undersaddle and is taking it calm and cool. Free jumped 1.20m and steps over it. This gelding screams hunter however has competed in the dressage ring with excellent scores. Enjoys a hack when consistent. He can have a spook but very manageable undersaddle and on the ground.

He is up to date on vaccines, teeth and farrier. Easy keeper and barefoot. Lives inside and receives hock injections semi annually. He is going to be quite the package in the hunter ring and will not be difficult to get there.

Perfectionism is a form of self sabotage. Perfectionism takes away from your confidence and resilience. Perfectionism inhibits you from being coachable. I’ll say it louder for the people in the back. I get it: we compete in a sport that is middle school us’ worst nightmare because it starts with “you’re now being judged.” A gorgeous hunter or eq round will see its score crippled by one drastic mistake. The winning jump off time is irrelevant when the last rail falls. We lose sight of the trees in the forest because of “one” mistake and deem the whole round a failure. Bonus points if you play that one mistake over and over in your head- what happened once has now happened a hundred hypothetical times… yay! Do yourself a favor and adopt a learning mindset. Your mistakes are not personal attacks on your ability or character; they’re opportunities to learn and improve. Whether it’s a mistake in one round or a learning curve season of life, embracing your challenges fosters your resilience. Resilience fuels confidence. And confidence realizes perfectionism is an unattainable standard. So next time you think about beating yourself up for being less than perfect, use what you did well to motivate you and what you left unfinished to set your next goal.

Great day in the jumper ring at Haw. Some solid learning experiences and everyone did their homework and put it to the rings today. Ana & Chip two firsts in .60m, Reu & Maisie first, clear and a hiccup to learn from in .75m, Audrey and Biggie two seconds in .85 and a first and second in .90m. Proud coach and team moment today. Thank you Horses At Work / Jill Barker for a great event.

We had a lovely day with solid placings and championships from walk trotters to 3’s yesterday for hunter day too. The teamwork and support is what makes me happiest. Grateful to have such an uplifting and positive team. ❤️ Time to put what we need to work on into the next one.

Wow. What a week. So grateful to have an incredible team and village behind us at Coach Hill. Our first show out at Windsor Spring Horse Show and we had a blast. Thank you Avon Pony Club and all the volunteers for hosting a well-run and organized EC show.

From new horse and rider matches, to riders competing in new disciplines and horses moving up to new levels, we enjoyed every moment. Many thanks to all the parents, family members, students without horses and friends that stuck around to help in anyway they could and to our braiders Sam and Marina for their magic hands. Blessed for the barn family we’ve grown and for the others that surround us.

Little Hylahs first show experience in her leadline class and tying first.
Elise and Augusts first time out and had some great runs with a third undersaddle and took home a win in an over fence class.
Audrey and Biggie moved up to new levels for the both of them and took home some great ribbons in busy classes in the .80s and .90s.
Reuben and Maisies first time out as a new pair and took home reserve champ in a full busy division in the .70s.
Ava and Chip had some good rounds with improvement through each.
Rosies first time out with a lovely placing with Jayne and had no baby moments.
Winstons first time out and enjoyed his time in the pleasure hacks taking home seconds and thirds.
Helmsleys first time in real hunter classes and came home champ and reserve champ in the pre green and performance 3’ hunters. He also did his first derby where he placed fourth out of some lovely competition, such a good boy. *Thank you Jill!!*

Proud is an understatement for the team and the welcoming environment of the NS show world makes us excited to learn more and see you all at the next show 🥰🐴

We have been getting a lot of questions about Lyme Disease in horses lately, so wanted to release some accurate information so our clients would be well informed! Here are some facts about Equine Lyme Disease:

🐴 The VAST majority of horses infected with Lyme with fight it off on their own with no symptoms!

🐴 Clinical signs of Lyme Disease are not well described in the horse

🐴 No horse vaccine is available. The Lyme dog vaccine can be given off-label, but effectiveness is unknown.

🐴 Tick prevention is the best protection!

If you would like more information, please read our Equine Lyme Disease Factsheet below! And as always, call the clinic if you have any questions you want to discuss. 🙂

A lovely read.

“Be a learner not a knower.”

By Emily Elek  I’m not into that customer stuff.  You know what I mean. There are so many in this business who refer to their “customers.” And the customer is always right…right? Except the barn is not an outlet mall. Our customer support team is run by small ponies with an agenda.  And I...
