The most common signs of feline arthritis are:
Decreased grooming and/or poor coat quality due to grooming issues
Unexpected aggression towards people or other pets, especially when being pet
Urinary or bowel movement accidents in the house (painful to get in and out of the litter box)
Reluctance to jump up/down, play, or use scratching post

We are located in a small hamlet called Marsville, about halfway between Orangeville and Fergus. We are across from the East Garafraxa Public School.

There are 2 driveways on the property … one is for the house residents, and one is for the shelter volunteers & visitors. The first driveway where you see the white mailbox with our number on it is for the house residents. Please do not park there. The shelter driveway is the next one, just west of the mailbox. It is only marked with reflectors. Pull into the west driveway, and there is a small parking area there.

Finally- Blue has been placed with Herd About Rescue as they specialize in working breeds with special needs. Please consider donating to them I will post the link in the comments.

Blue’s owner has a euthanasia appointment Thursday ( Aug 3rd ), He is URGENT but needs the right environment.
Blue is a 2 year old, deaf male Border Collie. He is true to his breed: he is loyal, intelligent, energetic and is always on alert - which is by barking. Blue is very affectionate with his family but his herding instincts get in the way of socializing with strangers and children. He does get along with other dogs with a proper introduction.
He has 2 bite incidents with adults 1 from being startled and the other could have been from feeling cornered. We are looking for a home that has experience with deaf dogs.
