Pup Pals Dog Walking is excited to announce a new service we are able to offer! Introducing our “Potty & Play” sessions!

“Potty & Play” sessions are a ½ hour visit to your home where your dog will have the time to do their business, and then play with their favourite toys, all while getting our undivided attention!

These sessions are ideal for when the humans are out for long hours, for pups that are more comfortable at home, or when the weather makes regular walks difficult!

DID YOU KNOW?

Regular walks benefit your pup in more ways than just their physical health. Sniffing is a necessary part of your pup’s mental wellness. It allows them to identify their surroundings, spot changes, and even reduce stress!

Our dogs have 50 times more olfactory receptors in their noses (about 300 million!) than humans do, which is why their scent is such an integral part of their senses!
A dog’s sense of smell is so strong, in fact, that it can even detect cancerous cells, so just imagine all they can smell while out for their walk!

Allowing your dog to sniff while out on your walks can help to ease a reactive dog since sniffing triggers a dopamine release in their brains, as well as helps tire them out since they’re working their brains!

Next time you’re out for a walk with your pup and they pull to sniff that tree or post, remember the importance of sniffing for their well-being!

MEET THE PUP PALS TEAM 👩🏻🐶

Meet Alandra! 👩🏻
Alandra is the founder of Pup Pals Dog Walking! She is a lover of all kinds of animals, but of course, especially dogs! Alandra is a first year Business Administration- Marketing student at St.Clair College, and cannot wait to put her combined business knowledge and dog experience into play on this new business endeavour!

Meet Shannie! 🐶
Shannie is a 10 year old Border Collie! Her unique ‘Blue’ colouring is due to her having one ‘Red’ parent and one Black parent! Shannie adores all things fetch, long walks, and any critter that she can herd (sometimes including humans!) Don’t let her age fool you, this senior pup is still as sharp and full of energy as the day she joined Alandra as a pup!

Alandra and Shannie can be found going for walks together in town! Be sure to say ’Hi’ next time you see them!🐕
