We are seeking the assistance from those who live in the area around Clay Park which is located at Moy Ave & Shepherd St East in Windsor. There is an unneutered male cat estimated to be about ten years old who we would very much like to be seen by our vet. He has been spotted as far east as Lincoln Road and as far west as Pierre Ave.
We are ideally looking to connect with a local resident(s) who sees him regularly, or who feeds him regularly, to make tracking his movements a little bit more predictable, which will help us in getting him into a trap and then in to see our vet.
Two kind individuals who have been trying to locate him for the past week or so have not been successful in locating him in part because of the unwillingness of the local residents to help. Some have voiced the opinion that he should just be left alone. Unfortunately this isn't something that I am able to do. I cannot just walk away from any cat who clearly needs help because I have met too many cats who have suffered for far too long because nobody cared enough to act. Samson was one of these cats and he suffered unnecessarily for too many years. I am sick and tired of the apathy towards stray/feral cats. Not many people could handle the physical hardships that these cats must endure day in and day out and yet so few will lift a finger to help them.
Once again, one cannot claim to be a cat lover if you turn your back on any homeless cat in need.
I am not asking for money or any physical help to trap this cat. I am simply looking for those who see him to send us a message so we can figure out when and where to trap him.
I have turned off comments for this post because I'm not interested in and don't have the time for any drama. If you know someone who lives in this area, or who frequents this area, please if you could share this post with them.
Thank you.
