We are collecting Christmas decorations for a shelter that provides a safe,warm space for at risk ladies.We are also collecting new items for them,so they could have something under the tree.Toiletries,coloured pencils,pencils,notebook,colouring books,warm out wear are all appreciated.

Just a reminder all dogs must be on leash when being dropped off or picked up.We have our own dogs,this is their home and we prioritize their safety.We also have horses who could seriously injure a dog if they go into their fields.

Bill C-355, The Prohibition of the Export of Horses by Air for Slaughter Act, will be debated in the Senate this month.

This new information, obtained from Japan's Animal Quarantine Service, is shocking and underscores the need for C-355 to pass through the Senate as soon as possible.

Our federal government and Canadians stand united in our resolve to end this mistreatment of our horse companions.

The OHS Emergency Pet Food Bank helps pet owners who have nowhere else to turn. We recently received this request for pet food from a member of our community:

“I have never been in this position before. My heart is broken. I have no one else to ask for help and no other food in the house that is suitable to provide as a temporary meal for the dogs. It's been very tight since I lost my job.”

After sending them home with pet food, we received this note:

“Thank you SO MUCH...oh my goodness, the dogs are so happy. We don't expect to have to use your services again as I am working now but I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping us. Your generosity was amazing.”

No one should have to face the heartbreaking situation of not being able to feed their beloved pets.

Has anyone seen my cat? Pluszek is 2 years old with light beige/sand colored fur, yellow/amber eyes, a white mouth and white collar bone, four matching white paws and beige rings on his tail. I have been searching for him for a few weeks and am struggling to find him. I have walked around my neighbourhood several times as well as distributed posters door to door. I still have not found him and I would appreciate any advice regarding what I may do next. Also, if you were to see him please let me know. Thank you.
