Very happy to complete this beautiful barn-style home before winter fully sets in. A brand new porch ‘overhang’ w decorative posts, and an endless array of off-angles and in’s-and-outs made this project an truly enjoyable challenge. ‘Hudson Bay’ blue is the colour. Lovely.

Heritage Award Winner 2021! ‘Preserving or Restoring the Original Character of a Heritage Building’ (City of St. John’s)

Tremendously proud to contribute to the preservation of Newfoundland history and its heritage structures. This full restoration project (incl. Newfoundland Wood Siding and Trim products) was a great challenge for our team, one which we met with enthusiasm and pride. ...’Canada House,’ built in 1902, is where the articles of confederation (1949) took shape under (then) long term resident Joey Smallwood. It had previously the residence of Newfoundland Prime Minister, Sir Michael Cashin (when Newfoundland was its own country). It is a magnificent structure, which the new owners, Jennifer and Kirk Anderson have taken great care to bring back to life. Our hats are off to them!

Another beautiful heritage project complete in downtown St. John’s. Very proud to supply and install our Newfoundland Wood Siding products on this old home (circa 1900). The bay windows were a real challenge on the old structure, but the wide spruce trim (incl. specialty drip caps and sills milled in shop) blends seamlessly. Great colour: ‘downpour blue’ (Ben. Moore 2063-20). Quite a propos for the city we live in (to say the least :-))

Another exterior renovation complete in the center of St. John’s. Really admire the architecture of this home, and the rich choice of color for the clapboard. Proud to supply, install and do all the restoration work ourselves on this one. The inside-outside window boxes are a real favourite; easy to admire the look and texture of the rough spruce trim.
