Between 2 -3 weeks of age, the puppies are learning to get around the whelping area and we add toys for them to explore.

A few highlights from our two week old Spera X Porto litter. Starting to move around and will be opening eyes soon!

Fully health tested parents (hips, eyes and hearts), expecting strong hips and great structure for the breed based on parentage and conformation performance. Puppies available from this litter, with more specific pup details to come in a follow-up post.

Spera would like to introduce you to her TEN happy, healthy, Lagotto puppies. Born January 4, we couldn’t be more proud of Spera for delivering this huge litter!

ABOUT THE BREED: Lagotto Romagnolo is an ancient Italian dog breed. Most well known for their scent skills (specifically truffle hunting) and their wooly, curly coat. Lagotti have a non-shedding, mostly hypoallergenic coat that requires grooming. They require daily exercise and love mental stimulation. They are moderately active and love to spend time indoors with their family. They are loyal, snuggly, and very loving. In terms of training, Lagotti are intelligent, alert, and ready to learn. They excel in agility, dock diving (they naturally LOVE water), and with their powerful nose, they do well in scent-work. With a 15-17 year lifespan, a Lagotto is a long-term companion for a person, couple, or family.

Our Amuleto Lagotto Romagnolo puppies are an excellent “doodle” alternative, with fully health and genetic tested parents whose temperaments and structures represent the breed very well.

We have over 20 years of proven breeding experience, and have selected our current sires and dams to best represent the breed in structure, while fostering a social environment to produce LRs with desirable temperaments.

Spera X Porto puppies are due any day now! We are very excited to welcome our third ever litter within our Amuleto breeding program.

Spera passed all health and genetic testing. She has medium drive and a laid back temperament. She is affectionate and loving towards everyone. Spera is low activity with moderate play drive. Spera has a classic boxy Lagotto form which is sought after in show. She is 14 inches and 28 lbs.

Porto passed all health testing. He is outgoing and extremely friendly and social with people and dogs. Porto has high play-drive. He has excellent structure for the breed. He is angular with excellent hips. He is 16 inches and 32 lbs.

All puppies will be ready for their new homes in March 2025.
