We welcome Tinkerbell to the Blaze of Glory family. Just like a few of my friends I couldn’t resist a cute face yesterday at the Westlock Auction. Will spend time getting this sweet girl to trust us as she is very scared today, and then see what direction we can train her in. Hoping to try a therapy horse and teach her to drive as well.

Had a wonderful day at the Cooking Lake Saddle Club show. Pickle took 2nd place in her halter class and Willow took 3rd for John in the same class, then Willow was a star under saddle, placed well enough in performance classes to take Reserve High Point and HighPiint in Gymkhana. John is going to have an amazing show horse when I’m done with her. Now for a fun day at the CLSC Obstacle Day tomorrow with Pickle, Mr T and John with Willow.

Today the barn said goodbye to a great babysitter. RIP Slew Aloof AKA Rag Tag, April 26,1994-Sept 20, 2024. Johns buddy for the last 6 years, gone but never forgotten. Go race the other horses in heaven and always be the first to get to the other end of the pasture.

So have a mare that will be up for sale soon(just waiting for her papers) as a prospect or broodmare, she is an OTTB that is 9 years old, last raced in 2019 and then had a foal in 2023. Took her into barn and saddled and bridled to lunge her and she was real good with no issues. I will continue to work with her and price will reflect work as it progresses. So gotta love the organizing committee at SPRUCE MEADOWS after coming for 30 years with my dogs I have been turned back so hope no one I know plans on enjoying today with their pets as they won’t be allowed.

Took Thor(Mr T) to the KWPN-NA Keuring for the yearling advice Keuring class and he received a Second Premium!! Can’t wait for this boy to grow up into his potential to get him approved as a Stallion in the KWPN-NA studbook. So proud of my sweet boy and how he handled the surroundings and a strange handler.

Due to no fault of theirs but some vehicle issues and vet bills that were not expected I am offering a few of my 2023 babies at a reduced price, in the group is a Thoroughbred c**t, an APHA c**t and a filly, and an Irish Sport Horse filly. They would not be priced where I have them priced normally but need to sell to pay the unexpected costs. These babies are handled daily and have had farrier work done regularly since babies, they have been blanketed and been stabled in the winter at night. They have all been trailered as babies when moms went to vet for Ultrasounds and learned to walk on the trailer politely( I also ride with my babies on their first trips to help them balance and not fear the trailer). Not sure how long they will be on sale as once I have enough to cover my unexpected expenses they remainder of them will go back to regular asking prices. Located near Ryley,AB.
