Discovered by Darcy Sustainable apparel, inspired by our four-legged family members! It wasn't until she was home that I thought, 'I can do that!'. Please help a dog-dad out!

Having waited several years for the timing to be right, in May 2020 I finally paid my deposit on a Miniature Dachshund puppy, at just a day old. Darcy came home eight long weeks later, and we've loved every minute since (she hasn't eaten anything valuable or deadly yet). I spent my puppy-prep time searching for small businesses I could support, and quickly acquired an affordable, high quality ward

robe for our new arrival. Since then, I have purchased a sewing machine and learnt to use it, experimented with a variety of patterns, techniques and fabrics, and was proud to launch Discovered by Darcy with a strong introductory range. Since our October 4th launch we have grown significantly, and continue to release unique and fun designs for you and your pup to enjoy! Late in October, we welcomed home our second puppy, Ember. She is a keen, cheeky assistant, carefully managing our quality control department and finally joining Darcy in the spotlight, taking part in her first campaign with the release of our Valentines 2021 collection. We are very excited to be integrating more of our baby girl into the DBD feed! Our products are handmade to order with you and your pup in mind; we consider appearance, longevity and safety in our manufacturing, and meticulous attention to detail throughout. We hope you'll stick around for our journey - we have so much planned! We frequently add new products to our permanent collection, as well as a host of holiday collections with unique fabrics to mark the occasion. After all, our pups are family, and it's only right they be part of the celebration! In short, we'd love if you'd consider us for your bandana needs. This business has been a labour of love, and the girls really like lamb treats (the expensive kind!).

Happy Easter! 😋

We're excited to be spending ours at All About Dogs Trinity Park, and with so many of our friends in attendance! 🐕

I'll admit, this past week settling into this year's show season has been quite overwhelming, hence our quietness on socials. I know I have lots of questions to answer, especially about our very popular cap release! Please do not panic - they'll be coming with us to all of our events this season, and to the website very soon 😉 Of course a post is coming with all the details 🥰

If you've popped me a message, I do have lots to catch up on, but will be in contact as soon as possible. Being the sole employee does have it's perks, but also means that getting behind has a frustrating impact - thank you so much for your patience and understanding, it is truly appreciated 🧡

Tomorrow we’re heading to Newbury to get set up for our first outdoor event of the season – and we’re kicking things off with something extra special! 😔

This will be our first event joined by the wonderful .woolies, who’ll be touring with us for a handful of shows this year – and we’re so excited to have Lydia along for the ride! 🥰

Between prepping for shows, packing your orders and launching new collections, our social media time has taken a bit of a hit – so if you’ve been waiting on replies or updates, thank you so much for your patience - I cannot express how much it has been appreciated! 🙈

"The arrival of our t-shirts made us feel like he is still with us" 🧡

This week I had perhaps the most meaningful email - Robyn shared that their family had been gifted Custom Companion tees of their beloved Rocco, a surprise order placed after learning he was battling cancer. After spotting us at Crufts, our client Hayley reached out to ask if we might be able to create a unique illustration of this special boy, and of course we said yes 🐕

Sadly, Rocco passed away just a day before our delivery arrived - but knowing that these illustrations now bring comfort to his family, keeping his memory close, is the greatest honour I could ask for.

Every illustration we create holds meaning - but this one will always hold something extra special 🕊 Thank you, Hayley and Robyn, for trusting me with something so precious. Sending your family all our love from the Discovered by Darcy team 🥰
