Don’t go bacon my heart and say you’ll be my Valentine.
Micha (Michelle) had been one of those dogs who was in rescue longer than most.
Micha has had two previous trial adoptions where all we asked was that she was given a 3 weeks commitment to allow her time to adjust to your new ways, decompress and trust as we knew Micha although an extremely intelligent, loving, obedient dog she also has a cheeky side and would test you as you test her in the beginning. Both times Micha was returned to rescue in under 10 days.
Sept 5th Micha meets Everett and Jeannie. After a lengthy meet n greet where Micha's buttons were pushed they committed to giving her a another 3 weeks.
Here is the message we received from Everett last night...
--Hi there! We understand that this is the beginning of week Three. The timing doesn’t matter to us. What we do know is that this beautiful dog has come a long way and has adjusted so well within our circle. We have learnt some of her triggers etc. she doesn’t like blowers or maintenance ppl especially if they scuff her feet. Otherwise most ppl could come and take our home away. She is so friendly. My cat's nose is out of joint but they both sleep together and Micha has taken the odd face smack where she totally ignores and continues on.
We have come to understand her bedtime where she literally puts herself to bed around 8. We have bought her her own bed to try and keep her from sleeping between us.
In our eyes she has found her fur ever home. Loves the car rides. Loves going to the boat. We take her inside pet friendly stores such as Canadian Tire etc. She just wants someone to love her and shows lots of affection.
We are asking to keep her. If you can accommodate us this week or weekend to deal with finalizing whatever is needed would be appreciated.
We appreciate and so love what you have done for her. But would love to keep her with us. She is a part of us.--

Ms. Kendall has come along way in foster since she arrived. She still has issues around being picked up or leashed but other than that she’s made herself right at home!
If you’re looking for an awesome house dog and don’t mind being patient as she learns the leash and being held isn’t a threat you won’t want to overlook this little treasure.
Fenced secure yard or large safe property required. Not suitable for condo life.

Little Tink came to us November 30th from a high kill shelter in California. Today we congratulate her on her beautiful new little family.
Happy Holidays from all of us here at OLHARS!
Foster Mommy Chris stopped by yesterday with her bottle baby Pearl.
Pearl and her sibling were found abandoned here in Princeton four weeks ago. They were no more than 3 days old. The sibling did not make it but Pearl thrives now 4 weeks old.
Fostering saves lives!
Beautiful mom and pup now accepting applications for their forever homes.
Mom, Sophia, came to us late February and it was soon apparent that she was pregnant. On March 14th Sophia delivered her one and only beautiful baby girl we call Pie. Pie from the begin was a very special pup who had a zest for life just like her mom.
Sophia is approximately 2-3 years old and Pie just 8 weeks old. Best guess is Cattle Dog X. These are medium to large size girls who are very active and will require homes with large property and devoted guardians who have the time, experience and activity level required for this breed.
