Let’s talk no shows! The amount of no shows and last minute cancellations has made me question if offering private appointments is something I can keep doing. I simply can’t move on to the next dog, my shop is empty & income is lost.

I had to reduce my hours earlier this year due to my health. Trying to accommodate too many clients by adding to already full days, left me from 1 to 2 & now 3 dozen trigger point injections monthly. Please, if you can’t make your appointment, please reach out. It’s so easy to switch you to another day in your scheduled week. I am now unable to switch dogs to already full weeks.

My new policy will require dogs to wait until their next scheduled appointment unless I get a cancellation. Your standing appointments for the year will remain the same. There will also be a fee for no shows & possible prepayment for appointments if it’s happening multiple times. Payments are due the day of services. If you have been reminded for etransfers more than the occasional time, please pay in cash at the time of groom.

I appreciate ALL my amazing clients & hoping these changes will allow me to love your amazing Dusty Dogs for many years to come. Thank you all so much!

HAPPY ENDING: Home; Safe N' Sound. We thank all that cared and shared. "TANGO is FOUND. He's down over our bank, about a 50'-100' drop. He is walking but we're trying to get him up over the bank. They have a human harness on Terry and he is carrying Tango. .. He is at the vet. His temperature is good, no broken bones or internal bleeding. He has a small scratch they are stitching up. He will be home tonight. (3.17.24 - 3.24.24)

Kennel Cough is rampant in Pictou County and we will not be enforcing our 24 hr cancelation policy. If your dog has any signs of a cough or had in the last couple of weeks, please reschedule. We ask you to potty your dogs at home and wait in your car until we come get your pet. Dogs can be contagious and not show symptoms so we want to limit as much exposure as possible to keep your dog and my own dogs safe. Thank you for understanding. -Tanya
