🎄 Holiday Foods That Are Toxic for Dogs 🎄
The holidays bring so many delicious treats… but some of our favourites can be dangerous for our fur babies. Here’s what to keep off their plates this season:
❌ Chocolate – Especially dark chocolate.
❌ Xylitol – In sugar-free candies, gum, baked goods, some peanut butters.
❌ Grapes & Raisins – Even one can cause severe kidney issues.
❌ Macadamia Nuts – Can lead to weakness, tremors, and vomiting.
❌ Onions – Common in holiday dishes; harmful to red blood cells.
❌ Alcohol & Holiday Cocktails – Even tiny amounts can be toxic.
❌ Cooked Bones – Splinter and can cause choking or internal injury.
❌ Rich, fatty foods – Turkey skin, gravy, buttery dishes can trigger pancreatitis.
❌ Unbaked bread dough – Expands in the stomach and produces alcohol while rising.
🎁 Safe tip: When in doubt, stick to dog-safe holiday treats or pop into the shop — we’ve got festive goodies made just for them.
✨ Keep the season merry, bright, and safe for your fur baby
